Re: Blue Pilot, an integrated Blues Driver
Very well done and nice board! Nothing to object, you've just made me happy. Just a heads up Dylan, I'll be releasing a blues driver video shortly and am including your version of this in the video :-) Love it btw - sounds great! Exciting, Brian! I've been waiting for it since you mentioned it in t...

Re: How to boost bass on input DS-1?
Just bumped into this. I'm looking at an older schematic for reference, but the cap right before the npn boost will do it. C3 on the schematic I'm looking at. Stock is .047u, make larger for more pre-clipping bass. I did a video on this recently where I stuck a 1u right there to show that by increas...

I'd have to agree on many levels - it's one of the reason I love Reeve's stuff so much - the inside is a work of art.bmxguitarsbmx wrote: ↑19 Jun 2022, 21:42 It's just my opinion that a meticulous wiring of a circuit that's not new is cooler than a mass produced version of something not new.

Re: Rift Amplification - EL34 [traced]
I think its cool. It's cooler than JHS or Wampler copying everything, including DIY projects and products of smaller builders for their entire careers. Sorry there friend, but not quite accurate. I can't speak for Josh but as far as Wampler is concerned some things are derivatives and some are not....

Re: Rockett Blue Note OD [traced]
schem looks fairly correct I think (though part values were different originally). My "design" (and i use that term loosely) was the topology roughly. Jay and Chris changed part values quite a bit. As far as the other concerns, build the thing and see if you like it, if not, tweak it. it'...

Re: Wampler Pantheon [traced]
While some will say this is a clone type of the BluesBreaker pedal.... I would like to think that Brian went steps further .... I have one of these in the shop for a bit and took a dive under the hood. First thing I noticed is that the board was labeled "Paragon 02-2017b" - a working titl...

I bet the tone control is drawn wrong too and should look like one from a tube-screamer - please verify. hi, I thougt about the circuit differences and made a circuit simulation. The shown tone circuity has indeed no effect. You are right regardíng the screamer tone circuity. Thanks that you took a...

Hey guys, here I transcripted the layout, correct please if you see something wrong, cause I'm gonna prepare the PCBs tomorrow :D [ Image ] Looks right, but I *think* r16 and r7 were 1k resistors, not 10k. I thought we had used independent voltage dividers as well, but maybe not on this version. It...

Re: Boss MT-2 Metal Zone mod for clean EQ/boost pedal
well, whatev's
The mods were posted as fun, not as a be-all end all. The mt-2 isn't that complicated, it's a basic analog distortion pedal with a fun EQ. Just bypass the distortion, making it a buffer before the eq.

Nope, not normalmaoriente wrote:I'm getting hiss with either fuzz engaged, the Plexi alone is dead quiet.
I tried 3 different LM386N-1s and a bunch of MPSA18 and BC550c. All about the same noise level.
Has anyone else experienced this noise with the fuzz engaged? Is it normal?

Re: Wampler Velvet Fuzz [traced]
I have built this with the plexi/fuzz switch option. The Plexi by itself sounds killer, but when either fuzz is engaged there is a noticeable amount of hiss induced. The tight fuzz is the worse of the two. Is this added noise "normal"? I've tried 3 LM386N-1, all about the same amount of n...

Re: Help With a BD-2 Mod?
I've searched high and low on here and I can't find an answer to my question... so here goes: I decided to mod an BD-2 using Brian Wampler's old book on modding pedals. For the Brent Mason mod and others C10 is listed TWICE. As far as I can tell it's not C100 or C101, which are the HP/LP ...

Hi, When it's written "remove the caps'', do i have to let a "jump" or do i have to wire ? A kind of replacing a capacitor by a wire ? Thanks for help :) Just remove them and leave the holes, don't jumper them. Some more mods I put out recently as well whoever wants to check them out...

Someone managed to unravel the scheme? no big deal, put a buffer in front of a Guvnor, clipping diodes are clear red leds, same 3 band eq,plus an output gain stage recovery and a low pass filter for vintage/modern,you're done. My 2 cents:my least favorite sounding guvnor style pedal,i'd take any other...
