Re: Mosky Ch-Vibe - does not sound like a Univibe [Solved]

Out of curiosity, I bought a second Ch-Vibe. Always good to have a spare anyway. Once again, out of the box, it does not sound quite like a Univibe. And once again, not all the capacitors in the phase shifting stages are the generally accepted Univibe/EasyVibe values. This one does not have the lead...

Re: Mosky Ch-Vibe - does not sound like a Univibe [Solved]

Hi, Nice find on this pedal! I'm looking in to do this capacitor mod. How did you find out that the values was wrong? I tried to measure the caps in circuit, but got very high values. All in uF range. My aim is to try to solder in some trough hole caps, as I'm not in possesion of any smd caps. Sinc...

... with a cool old-school "hand-drawn" PCB ... While I like the look of those PCB traces, they are gonna lift off like buggery. Narrowing to a point? WTF? A bit of stress from the pots or footswitch and those lovely traces will only be good for sticking on your wall. I'm sure the...

Mosky Ch-Vibe - does not sound like a Univibe [Solved]

Thought I'd pick up one of these to see what it's like. I was hoping I'd be lucky and it would be a take on the Moen Shaky Jimi/Jimi Nova, which are based on the EasyVibe. Here's links to the Moen Shaky Jimi and Moen Jimi Nova threads. And I'd like to thank John Hollis for his lovely EasyVibe circui...

Re: 3-coil MM Stingray pickup wiring

There's nothing special about the lever switch, it's just a standard 4P3T (16 terminals ?).
Could you post some good photos of the underside of the pickup showing where the wires connect to each coil?
We can take it from there.

Re: Electro Harmonix - Holy Stain [GUT SHOTS] [schematic]

I'm very sorry as it is a file I no longer have, when photobucket deleted peoples files due to forcing a charge I lost loads of files that I had not saved on a local hard drive. If you have any specific question on that pedal I may be able to remember what you need although I only bothered with the...

Could you upload this schematic again please?
Or anyone else who has it.

Thanks.

Here it is mine orange amp with a TL072 circuit. Can you tell us which model your amp is exactly? Don't worry, no one is going to sue you for telling us. Don't be shy, just give us the truth. There is one guy on youtube who got some very nice treble clarity in his Golden 30 dollar Klon by replacing...

Re: Behringer - NR100 Noise Reducer [schematic]

I don't know about the behringer, it's meant to be a clone of the NS2 but the current version of the Boss NS-2 is slightly different from that older schematic. The main difference is the current Boss NS2 uses the THAT2181 VCA chip, the exact same one as the ISP Decimator. I just cracked open my Beh...

Dolamo D-4 Distortion

This is another cheap Plexitone clone like the Mosky Plexi-m and the Caline English Man. I'd say this is the best of the bunch, IMHO. There are two interesting things with this pedal: 1. The PCB says "CP-14 Caline CP14 v2.1 2018/11/12". 2. To generate the -9V from a 9V supply, it uses an X...

Best value Shredmaster (VS Hyde) clone you're going to find.

Rowin Plexion LEF-624 LEF-324 Probably the same internals as other brands like Tomsline. I've only seen speculation on what this is. Volume = B100k Gain = B100k Tone = C10k U1 = LM833 clipping = 2 LEDs to GND It's a clone of the MI Audio Crunch Box v1, with an extra Bright mode. Not sure if there wa...

Re: Mosky Plexi-m [schematic]

I can be stupid sometimes. I forgot to make a recording of this fizz problem before I fixed it. :slap: So could someone who has the fizz make a simple recording and add it here for posterity? I'd suggest this - Gain=Min, Tone=Max, Level=whatever, into a very clean amp/channel. Strum a single chord a...

Re: Caline - English Man [schematic]

I finally managed to get one of these. They used to be all over ebay, but it's hard to find them now. I wanted to compare this to the Mosky Plexi-m because the Plexi-m had a background fizz to it, noticeable on note decay. I wasn't sure if the fizz might be a feature of the Plexitone circuit, or jus...

Re: Mosky Plexi-m - Fizz problem fixed [schematic]

I looked at a few YT demos of the Plexi-m and the comments were interesting. A few people say that they have had the fizz problem, one person with three bad units. They all seem to be from 2021. Perhaps they were OK before this. Anyway, I finally got around to de-bugging this fizz problem. BTW, in t...

Re: Mosky Plexi-m [schematic]

Hey Manfred,
My Plexi-m is giving a fizzy, crackly-ness to the notes, which is especially noticeable on note decay or when you play softly or reduce the guitar's volume.
Best way to reproduce it is Tone=Max, Gain=Min, into a clean amp.
Does yours have this fizz also?

Kmise Hot Plexi

The Kmise Hot Plexi is a cheap mini pedal that I've seen being sold under various brand names. The metal enclosure is nice and sturdy. It has a JRC386 and a JRC4558D. It's closest "inspiration" is obviously the Joyo Hot Plexi (see the Joyo - JF32 Hot Plexi thread). So it looks like it's a ...
