Re: 1973 Kasino U100-P repair question
Hello everyone. It's been a long time. The amp is still working.

Re: Maestro - FZ-1 [schematic]
I've been experimenting with this circuit and have found that it's kinda like the Tone Bender MkI. What I mean is that it can be tuned in similar ways. For example, the 470k resistor on Q2 base can be tweaked to either increase or reduce the distortion. If your transistors don't have enough leakage,...

I just tried the resistor values suggested by holgar on my tweak fuzz. It sounds better than ever.

Oh, and I get it now about the "loose" sound. It sounds like something's about to explode!

Re: [Debugging] Sola Sound - Tone Bender Mark I
The transistors I ordered from LIC pedals finally arrived today and they sound amazing in the pedal. I swapped out all of the resistors for vintage 1/2 watt carbon comps, installed a new 25uf electrolytic cap and tweaked the bias resistor on Q2 The one I settled on was a 330k that measured out to 39...

Re: VOX (JEN) Tone Bender - circa 1966 - 197(?) [schematic]
Every schematic and gutshot I've seen of this circuit has a 820 between lug 1 of the attack control and ground. If you tried a 8k2, it would be so distorted that it would barely pass signal (if at all ).

Re: Tone Bender Mk. I
I have a "matched" set of AC125 transistors on the way. They should be here tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait to give them a try! In the description, the hfe for each was specified as Q1 60-70, Q2 110-120 and Q3 90-95. There was no mention of leakage readings, but the seller assured me ...

Re: VOX (JEN) Tone Bender - circa 1966 - 197(?) [schematic]
Glad to help. Just remember that in these fuzz circuits, a smaller value on the volume control will always cut bass.

Re: VOX (JEN) Tone Bender - circa 1966 - 197(?) [schematic]
Using the 47k resistor in parallel with the 500k volume pot cuts bass. If you use a 50k pot for volume, it isn't necessary.

Re: Tone Bender Mk.II - Help Needed
Yeah. I actually used to think that Tony Iommy was using some sort of Tone Bender until I looked into it. It amazing what a studio can do, isn't it? Somehow I keep forgetting about those things.

Help with loose speaker magnets?
Hi,guys. I hope this is the right place for this. I acquired a pair of 12-inch speakers from a Crate amp today and after as one patching of the cones, they're still rattling. After a thorough inspection, I finally found the cause. Each one of the magnets is loose on one side. Is there a way to get t...

Re: Tone Bender Mk.II - Help Needed
You may be right. I did read somewhere that he used a Mk.II, but that could've been someone who was just trying to boost the pedal's reputation. Can't remember where I read it, though.

Well, moderator or not, it was still unnecessary. This person was labeled as a moderator. I won't mention his name because I do have some common decency.

Hello. I'd like to report that some of my posts were recently moved and I received a very insulting PM from a moderator. The movement of my posts was probably done for good reason in his mind, but the insults were definitely unnecessary. Thanks to that, I will not be posting on here again anytime so...
