Where to highpass this Bugera T5 head? (schematic)

I want to highpass my Infinium T5 head. In terms of a series capacitor adding a 6db treble slope to everything - so probably starting quite high in frequency. AFAIK there is no T5 schematic at this point, but there is a V5 schematic which is very similar but has a single tone control and is not SMD....

Caline Snakebite a clone of the Earthquaker Afterneath?

I cant believe that Caline could come up with the pedal themselves, is it a clone of the Earthquaker Afterneath?

Tried it and it works - now my valve junior has a bass knob :)

Add a pot bypassing the cap for variable RC highpass?

If i add a pot shorting the capacitor in a RC highpass, will that allow a variable amount of highpass controlled by the pot?

thanks,

Its a small hex screw. Its not a volume knob, its the phase speed knob.

Re: are these SMD diodes germanium?

Thanks for the info, carefully swapped them out for some through hole germaniums, and its sure smoothed the tone.

Re: Boss GE-7 Mods

Mods all finished, pedal now far less hissy and removing the output emphasis has taken the blanket off the sound. Turned out the cap numbers in the first page of thread were already correct for the new version of the pedal for c18,c30,c25,c29 and c21, c22, c32. What got me confused was the reference...

Re: Boss GE-7 Mods

My ge-7 is the most recent revision, and i suspect that the cap numbering has changed since the mods described on the first page of this thread. Ive currently only got a blurry .jpg of the circuit for my ge-7, but for instance "change c23 to a 270pf silver mica" seems not to match my ge7 w...

Re: Boss GE-7 Mods

thanks for the help phatt - but i now realise my circuit diagram is for the wrong version of the pedal. duh :slap: Based on my (wrong version) diagram it seems to me that the pre emphasis is a cathode bypass cap and the post emphasis is a passive RC network, so both should be far less nasty on my gu...

http://www.hobby-hour.com/electronics/s/schematics/boss-ge7-equalizer-schematic.png I would like to remove the pre and post emphasis on my ge7, cctsim said "I have removed them both from my unit by converting the first op-amp to a voltage follower and removing C27 and R33. Also, R33 needs to be...

Re: Alpha pots = Fail

I must apologise to Alpha for bagging their pots, turns out the "Alphas" that i purchased from realtone music were fakes - no date or manufacturer codes.

dont buy from realtone, some of what they sell is fake.

Re: Joyo - JF-36 Sweet Baby [schematic]

Just added some bass and gain to my sweet baby by removing smd resister r14 (47k) and replacing with a 100k through hole. Drops highpass from 720 to 338hz.

Re: Emerson Custom Guitars E-M Drive. [traced]

thanks for the info induction.

seems my stripboard emerson paramount will be equally useless as a wah output boost, if the pcb for the SHO is too big to fit the wah ill try building a stripboard one.

Re: Emerson Custom Guitars E-M Drive. [traced]

done some interwebbing and it seems that the common emitter of the em drive gives it a super low input impedance, buggering up the wah before it, just like a fuzz face. The aim was to put the em drive inside the wah as an output booster. im still unsure about this issue, so if anybody who knows this...

Re: Emerson Custom Guitars E-M Drive. [traced]

I tried putting my stripboard Em drive after my vox847 wah for a boost but the wah does not "wah" when output to the em drive.

I assume its the same as the "wah output to fuzz pedal stops wah working" problem, but dont know enough to be sure...

Ideas anyone?
