Re: Mwfx judder
Well. In the absence of anything better here's some unclear shots of the boards from MWFX's social media posts. At least it can give us some idea of the general topography, for example how there's an LDR in there: 11313028_984090931610907_8502887314548344543_o.jpg 10003662_984091218277545_9171150531...

Re: Mwfx judder
Sorry for the necropost but did anyone happen to save the gutshots LaceSensor posted in 2013, or know of any others?

Re: Visual Sound - Garagetone Chainsaw
So, according to JHS, it's a ZVEX Box Of Rock without the SHO part.

Re: Visual Sound - Garagetone Chainsaw
One desoldering gun purchase later... https://i.ibb.co/SVFs8sR/vs-chainsaw-pots-off.jpg Three maybe-transistors and five more resistors under there. The maybe-transistors are marked 'Z9' (with my loupe thing on) with '- +' underneath it - to the left of the Z9 in the top-left corner is a tiny square...

Re: Visual Sound - Garagetone Chainsaw
I only just discovered myself that they'd hidden things under the potentiometers, the devious bastards. I see a 'Q103' under the rightmost pot (Volume), so I'm going to carefully desolder all the pots on mine so that we see what's in there. All the traces seem to be on the top-side of the board, I'm...

Re: Visual Sound Garagetone Chainsaw
So, an anticlimactic update: I ended up buying another one of these partly to get a shot of the traces for this thread and partly because I kind of missed having it around. But, there are no visible traces - they're buried in the middle layer of the board. I guess I could potentially trace connectio...

Guyatone PS-015 Sonics Overdrive - gutshots / tracing
I've been sitting on this a long time planning to get around to tracing it myself, but since I've never done any circuit tracing before and other things keep getting in the way there's a chance it might become one of the things I regret never doing on my deathbed. So, I thought I'd share what I have...

Re: Seppuku FX Mind Warp
Hello! I can't remember where I orginally found them, but on the USB stick I use for wasting time at work I'd saved a handful more gutshots of someone's Mind Warp. Do they help at all?

Guyatone CC-1 Double Chorus
Does anyone have a schematic for this or a working unit they could post gutshots from? I have a non-working one here with a mystery loose wire that I thought should be connected to the input jack, but after several attempts at that the best I can get is to have it pass signal in bypass. As soon as y...

Re: Visual Sound Garagetone Ctrahainsaw
Apologies for digging this old thread up but did anyone ever manage to identify or trace this circuit? The last post on this thread makes it sound like it's too obvious to bother saying, but I'm at a loss with it. For example, there's two IC's in that photo, not one as stated: one is slightly obscur...

Re: WEM - Project V [schematic]
Hi. Sorry to necropost but I desperately want to build this fuzz - I love 'Baby's on Fire' - and I just had to sell my Tonebender on eBay. But I'm having trouble finding the 35th cut on the posted vero: https://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc196/digi2t/WEMProjectV_Layout_2.jpg I can just about make o...
