StripboardCAD out for iPad

From wanting to do vero/stripboard layouts on my tablet while on the go, I decided a year ago to start making one for myself. And the result is now available on the app store. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stripboardcad/id988696623?mt=8&at=&ct=&ign-mpt=uo%3D6 I'm sorry to say it's only...

Re: Way Huge - Fat Sandwich [traced]

Attempt at a vero layout for no other reason than it was fun to make.

Still missing MOSFET and diode values, though.

Re: paisley drive volume

The 100ohm resistor shouldn't affect volume noticeably, but as you've discovered the clipping diodes will. Swapping them out is not a problem; keep them if you like the sound :)

For those few of you who insist on building stuff on vero (like me) I just finished building this and can confirm it as working. It's not as compact as the original, but just as much fun building.

All good points, and I agree with a lot of what you say. I just happen to enjoy doing vero layouts (it's just as much fun as doing the actual building), and I made one for this particular project/schematic on a hunch. I could keep it to myself, but I believe sharing it doesn't hurt anyone.

Re: MAGNUS MODULUS - PROJECT - PT2399 ECHO/Chorus/Tremolo/Bo [documentation]

I wonder if anyone has been brave enough to attempt a Vero/Stripboard layout for this one?....been contemplating doing one myself.... :hmmm: Did a vero layout for this one yesterday. Already confirmed to be working (not by myself). http://www.sabrotone.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/MagnusModulus.g...

My contribution to this thread; I put together a vero based on MWichni's schematic at the end of page 3.

Re: The Secret Sauce

I built this based on the vero layout I posted earlier. It's quite subtle at the beginning and adds a lot of compression/sag at the end which is very cool. The only issue I had was that with gain at max the effect started sounding like a gated transistor. Not sure whether this is due to a mistake on...

Re: The Secret Sauce

Thanks for the circuit, mictester. I want to give this a try tonight, so I put together a vero already. Hope you don't mind. Also, is the second electro in the clipping network not oriented correctly or is it supposed to have the positive side connected to ground? I don't yet know enough to tell whe...

Re: THE ENGINEER'S THUMB... At last, a better compresso [documentation]

Not to bring back a crazy thread, but I just had to comment on this. Finished building this (based on the layout I posted on the previous page) with all the bells and whistles, and while the result may look a bit untidy it sounds really, really great. This is probably my favorite compressor at this ...

Thanks for the schematic Steven_M and the mod/fix suggestions mictester. I put together a vero for this one for no particular reason.

I'm going to give this one a try and thought I'd share my vero layout with all the suggested mods added. (Not yet verified as working when I write this).

Re: Wampler Paisley Drive - Gut Shot [traced]

I'm doing a re-housing on this one for a friend so I thought I'd trace the circuit to the best of my ability while at it, seeing that we haven't got a complete schematic for this one yet.

Re: I had a dream - The "Good To Do - Kustom Kretin Drive"..

Hi everybody! Just a little question (or a request, if you prefer...). Is there anybody that made this pedal on a veroboard? Is it possible to have a veroboard (stripboard) layout? Thanks a lot! I haven't actually built this one myself, but others have verified this vero layout as working. http://w...

Re: Fred Briggs - Hummingbird Overdrive *FINAL*

Finally got around to building this one last night (from my previously posted vero) and I'm absolutely positively happy with how it sounds. May end up keeping the "compression" pot fixed, but the "shimmer" one deserves to be panel mounted.

Thanks a lot for this one, Briggs!

I've updated the vero layout above, and here's an updated schematic as well. Harold, are you willing to share the eagle schematic so I can have a try at designing a PCB? (Not having to draw the schematic myself saves me some time and averts possible errors!) Iwan Here you are. I didn't draw it with...
