Re: Whisper of Screams (Kasha OD Pedal Trace)

Thanks folks! But notice that this is a "traced" circuit, not a new design. It is a resurrection of a pedal that is no longer manufactured; with aunique configuration. Try breadboarding it as it is and see how it sounds. I suspect you'll be impressed.

Whisper of Screams (Kasha OD Pedal Trace)

For your breadboarding pleasure . . . . I give you the "W hisper of Screams " - a trace of the Kasha OD Guitar pedal. One of the best, oddest, yet simplest, circuits in guitar pedals I've ever encountered. This post is my contribution to the pedal building community in resurrecting this rare find. ...

Did you ever do PCBs for this circuit? If so, do you have any available?

Re: Ibanez WD-7 Weeping Demon woh-woh to wah-wah mod

Chet - and 3 years more after that, I've found your write-up not only quite professional and thorough, but also very helpful. I just got one of these Ibanez WD7 Weeping Demons on the cheap and want to be able clean up its act, as it has been quite abused. Thank you so very much for your determinatio...

Re: Ibanez SML VOl mod

Dirk - without a schematic, how do we tell from "R58" please?

Re: Ibanez SM-9/SML/MS-10

Oh, and the maximum gain factor and unity gain plays into help determine which input is used. One will have superior gain capabilities over the other, depending the specific device's specifications.

Re: Ibanez SM-9/SML/MS-10

There is not a significant difference between the inserting\non-inverting tonal quality of opamps. It depends on any given opamp's specs as to how the circuit is designed and whether or not to use the inverting or non-inverting inputs on them.
