Re: Boss CE1 clone no chorus [documentation]

I bought the TDA1022 and adapter from diysynth.de. They are a legit website but they probably don't know themselves that the chips are fake. Yeah, even the good sellers get bit by the scumbags doing this crap, and I agree they are a legit website for sure. I really do hope I'm wrong but this has be...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Warp Factor [schematic]

I would imagine they are the zener diodes in the power supply. Do you have any pics of the diodes on the PCB? One is a 15v zener and the other is a 7.5v zener but hard to say which side as it's a (half wave) dual supply (+15v/-15v)

Re: Boss CE1 clone no chorus [documentation]

Unfortunately, if you look close at your TDA1022 you will notice some black paint on the top of the pins where the pins meet the black case. This to me looks to be a counterfeit chip. I've seen this multiple times with MN3007s, CA3080s and some others. Where did you buy it?

Re: Boss CE1 clone no chorus [documentation]

Well it's tough to say what is going on. Sounds like your LFO is working. We will need better pictures of the board with better lighting and with the wires outta the way. Also a shot of the solder side would be helpful too. Do you have the two pairs of back to back diodes installed on the back of th...

My mistake... Thought it was a flanger... probably a Ce-2 with 3207 instead of 3007 then?

Re: BBE Mind Bender v2.0 (Gut Shots)

Probably a BF-2 Clone with perhaps a different timing cap (C15 or C16 hard to see) on pins 5 and 7 of the 3102? What's the marking on that yellow MLCC (hard to see also) Is it 47 (47pf)?

Does he know you can order proper PCBs for pennies per unit?
In 2006 I think they were a we bit more expensive then what we have now, it really is crazy how cheap you can get them nowadays.

Re: Roland Jazz Chorus JC-20

It still looks like these 2 resistors are missing from your schematic (yellow square R49 and R51 both 68k). If I were to guess they are the pulldown resistors for the 3207, one coming off each output to ground, then they go through the 6k8 resistors.... Putting a bias control on the input couldn't h...

Re: Roland Jazz Chorus JC-20

Was just looking at the schematics on that website and it looks like he missed a pulldown resistor off the MN3207 outputs (7&8). Maybe it's the missing R49? (Thanks to Dirk who had just spotted a similar mistake on one of my schematics) Edit .... If I had noticed there was a second page to the t...

Re: Lectric-FX DC-Echo

That 2nd BBD's output lacks a pullup to VCC ;-) Thanks Dirk!!! I was just going over this myself and I also misplaced a test point. Moved TP15v to the output of the regulator not the input as I'm assuming there is at least (hopefully) 18v NOT 15V going into the regulator. Will update above files he...

Re: Stumped by Little Gem MkII (ish) build

So I think you need a large electrolytic cap on the outputs of the 386. At least to drive speakers you do... should be easy enough to try though.

I couldn't find the schematic on the Madbean site.... you wouldn't happen to have a link would you?
EDIT - For completeness I've uploaded the finished schematic.
EDIT - Added pullup (R26) for U11 (Thanks Dirk!!) Also moved test point (TP15v)

Re: Dynachord echochord mini trouble

Have you tried hard wiring the switch to take it outta the equation? Sounds like a bad switch to me from the video.

Edit
And it's hard to tell from the video but if the switch is mounted to the PCB it could have a broken or cold solder joint. That would explain the snap crackle & pops too....

Re: Malfunction due to loose wire?

It's the ground wire, but I can't see the other parts that are connected to the pcb. Make photo of the footswitch from the pin side and the power (dc) connector. Yup, it looks like ground to me as well. The short length should be a hint as to where it went because it must have hooked up to somethin...
