Hey Soulsonic!
Have you tried a small resistor (like between 100R an 1k) after the rectifier Diodes and a bigger cap value for C3? This would even out the ripples. The higher the cap value, the less ripples but also more decay.

Re: Clarinot Env Control Circuit Daughterboard (Schem & Vero
Hey! I guess the 4007 is overkill, uses too much space. I hae to check the pinout, but i guess it just acts as a variable resistor. you can accomplisch the same (or almost) with a npn transistor: output from the rectifier goes to the base through a resistor (100k-1M or so) collector goes to the deph...

Re: weirdbrato 2399
You mentioned using a 386... Is the audio portion similar to the Mid-Fi Pitch Pirate and Clari(not)? Close, but in the clari-not the 386 is configured with a lot of gain, so it can also drive the vactrol (and distorts quite a bit). I use a configutation more like in the pitch-pirate witch has less ...

Re: weirdbrato 2399
yeah! i also build a pt2399 delay with an effect loop in the feedback path. And with the Weirdbbrato in it (with a subtle glide setting) it gives a really, really NICE tape warble simulation. Love it!roseblood11 wrote:This could sound funny in the feedback path of a delay.

Re: weirdbrato 2399
ou, cool, thanks! if you can program microcontrollers there are a lot more possibilities i imagine. (i have no idea about how to do this stuff) this here is actually just a bunch of square waves at different frequencies mixed together. Its easy to make it much slower if the caps (and/or resistors) o...

Weirdbrato 2399
Hey! Just want to share my new build, a pt2399 based vibrato. It can go from lofi-trash-chorus sounds up to completely insane pitch chaos. i plan to make a better version with op-amps for input buffering and blending, since the 386 tends to distort even with moderate input levels. basic idea is that...

Re: What is this R doing at the fb loop?
hey!
Not shure, but i guess R23 is bypassing some signal around D3 and D4, so not all of the signal is going through D3 and D4, which means that they clip less.

Re: Detectors in compressors and Envelop filters.
Hey POTL In general, I am interested in the option of a good detector with the ability to adjust the attack and release, and working from a unipolar power supply Jea! Me too, im working exactly on that... check out my schematic https://multicornpedals.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/envelope-follower.pd...

Re: KiCAD : Design schematics and PCBs for FREE? [link]
i use fritzing for a while now. it is pretty cool and not so complcated. (mac win and linux) it has schematic, breadboard and circuitboard. you can also implement arduinos and the code with it. on the circuitboard window is a autorute function and you can check the board for shorts or bad connection...

op amp splitter design
Hello everbody! I am working on a 4 way splitter (could also be 2 or 3 way) and i have some really basic questions. I did research but could not find perfect answers... here is the schematic so far: http://pichost.org/images/2018/12/02/Splitter_Schaltplan.md.png So: my qustions are: 1) Power: I have...

Re: modular guitar pedals idea - work in progress...
hey! power supply is still all 9v. Still stuck to that. euro standard would be really nice to have the possibility to easely implement other modules... and as you said, getting other voltages is easy with regulators... all modules run on 9v, except the envelope follower wic runs on +9/-9 volt (with ...

took me quite a while but finally i made a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wYeTetEyiM It is a bit long... hope it is not too boring, i learned that it's not so easy to do a exciting demo video :| It just shows some possible patches, many more might be possible... a modular project is really ...

Re: modular guitar pedals idea - work in progress...
I use 9v, everything is powered with one 1spot power supply. No hum or noise problems so far... 8) The chassis is made out of 2 doepfer A-100 84HP rails, so it's ~42cm wide. the plates are standard eurorack, so ~13cm high. depht is only 4cm, so it lies relatively flat on the ground (good for the sto...

Re: modular guitar pedals idea - work in progress...
thanks for your comments, it did some progress, here is a photo so far: (hope i can do a small video soon...) From left to right there is: splitter - VCA (vactrol based) - LFO (w/ footswitch) - LFO - Distortion (rat-like) - Delay (pt2399; cv input for the time) - 8step sequencer - double VCA (2164 b...

Re: modular guitar pedals idea - work in progress...
Thank you! At the moment i'm just doing them for myself... maybe i consider doing a small series if enough people would be interested, but that's definitely not possible in near future  And i'm not shure still how practical such a system is gonna be. Still I have to fix stuff and experiment mor...

modular guitar pedals idea - work in progress...
Hello! I am working on some kind of modular pedal concept. The Idea is to have VCA's LFO's envelope followers, sequencers, delays with different inputs/outputs to controll each other. For example you could do a simple tremolo with one LFO controlling a vca. But then you can controll the first LFO wi...
