Re: Anyone built the "Brown Betty" from pedalPCB ?
I figured it out. I used a 4n7 for C7 instead of the called for 47n. I guess we've all done it. Anyway if you like the bedal but it has too much gain they lowering this cap like I did by accident.

Anyone built the "Brown Betty" from pedalPCB ?
I have built the Brown Betty from Pedal PCB http://www.pedalpcb.com/product/brownbetty/ The only variance from the parts list i used was a 4001 protection diode instead of the called for 1N5817. I understood (per the website) that this is supposed to be "Inspired by the Friedman BE-OD and Dirty...

Re: Can I apply BSIAB2 mods to this "BE-OD" clone layout?
Yes the Thermionic Distortion (clone of the BE-OD) does have good eq control, but this mod in the BSIABII is different than merely EQ settings. It seems to allow the high mids and treble to be pushed into clipping much easier for a real VH 1 crispness. and not so much of a post clipping boost to the...

Can I apply BSIAB2 mods to this "BE-OD" clone layout?
I have built several BSIABII's and tweeked and played with many mods. One mod I liked on some of my BSIAB's was having the cap parallel with the 5.6k resistor off of Q5 to add some nice high end crunch and crispness. I was wondering where in this BE-OD clone circuit I could do the same thing? I am n...

Re: Friedman - Dirty Shirley [traced]
:?: I have a couple of the "Brown Betty" boards. It's Buggs BE-OD and Dirty Shirley on one PCB. I just recieved a bunch of parts and I did not get any caps lower in value than 150pf. This PCB calls for a couple of 47pf's, a 120pf and a 220pf. I'd hate to have make another order and pay shi...
