Re: Gullmour Wah prototype schematic
If you used/built a standard crybaby wah (without input or output buffers) and plugged your guitar into the out and your amp into the in you would get the "gull tone". Happy accidents.

Re: Deluxe Electric Mistress Re-issue V5 (Big Box)
In my experiences working with the electric mistress circuit, I found that adding a 100k pot between the 47n capacitor (the one connected from the output to ground) allows a tone control to be had. Simply disconnect one end of the cap from the circuit board, run one wire from the cap to the wiper of...

Re: Foxx - Tone Machine [schematic]
An attempt to clone the original layout. Has optional parts that where included/absent from the original and it's OEM brothers and sisters. Let me know if you spot any errors. Enjoy. foxx.pdf This is an excellent replica file, though I noticed one difference between it and other schematics of the t...

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
Also, keep in mind the actuator length when looking for sliders. The ones on the USS1 have fairly long actuators (in order to mount on the board and reach through the case to the slider cap). That detail was where I had difficulty finding the right one. On mine, there was only one slider actuator br...

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
Thank you very much grizzlytone for the documentation you have provided.
That helps to figure out the proper switching scheme for the footswitch wiring.
Here is the updated factory schematic I have come up with. It is all one one page now:

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
So far I managed to trace the whole unit. There is not much difference between the factory schematic and the unit I'm working with. What I thought was a pinout problem was an error I made. It turns out the 2n5172's in this unit are EBC as marked on their case, whereas the schematic and online datash...

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
So far I have traced about half of the circuit. There has been little differences between the factory schematic and the actual unit so far, though I have taken not of the few differences and will get an updated schematic up when it is fully traced. Just to take note, either the pinout of the 2N5172 ...

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
Thats what I was planning to do with the USS1(A). Seeing as how there is little info on it or its other version(s), I would like to help resurrect and aid the reproduction of this bizarre combo of effects.
I will keep in touch about progress on this and PM you if the Ludwig is being a Lewdwig.

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
I had it open to replace some signal and filter caps and still need to put in a few, though I put it back together already and will pick up the necessary parts shortly. One of the filter caps was actually installed backwards in my unit! Somehow it never exploded. @dig2t : do you mean go over the cir...

Re: Maestro - USS-1 [schematic]
I recently acquired one of these and once it is properly calibrated it sounds awesome. It seems that the filter is interactive with the envelope control section and gives a type of ADSR envelope filter (single note activated) rather than what one would be used to from the Maestro filter sample and h...

Seems that white is the output wire on another person's DS1. Not sure the version though.

Re: Boss silver thumb screw : anyone?
Oh my me. I had recently acquired a pile of broken pedals from a music store when they were having a garage sale. There was some treasure in the pile including 2 Boss PH1's, and 80's Boss Super Overdrive, among others. Some of the Boss pedals were missing the thumbscrews and I had found a few plasti...

Re: EH - Pulse Modulator [schematic]
Here is a schematic for the Pulse Modulator I've drawn out after tracing the unit. It may be the only one I know of for this pedal. A note: All parts of the circuit in the top schematic to the right of the A "star" are copied 3 times and run in parallel with each other for the three tremol...

Re: EH - Pulse Modulator [schematic]
It's been quite some time since Analogguru's one and only post on this strange and elusive pedal. One is in my possession to re-cap as it seems the pulses aren't up to "speed". Very exciting. I would like to figure out a schematic of this pedal to made a workable clone, once the caps were r...

Re: Dunlop Wah missing piece.
It is difficult to tell where all the wires are connected to with regards to the power jack and LED circuitry. I would triple check those connections to be sure everything is where it should be.
Also, what was the green wire with electrical tape connected to originally?

Re: cbs era fender phaser
Cool. Thanks for the images. FYI I believe the 4136 is a quad op amp (ie 4X 741), so the 4 transistors in a row are likely JFETS used for each of the 4 op amp stages. I remember the 4136 from old Craig Anderton designs, yet never saw them in many pedals. (The phase shifter he did had one, though it ...

Re: First build problem. Colortone Overdriver.
Glad to hear you sorted it out.
I found that using a C10k pot (reverse log) helped to even out the rotation/gain ratio,
where as yours is a B10k pot which I've found had the same issue you're experiencing.

Re: First build problem. Colortone Overdriver.
+1 ^^^ From the most recent pictures, you would want to connect the "tip" connection of the output jack to the point that the sleeve is connected to on the switch instead of on the board where it's connected currently (ground point). Also, connect the jack "sleeve" connection to ...

Re: First build problem. Colortone Overdriver.
As well, since I see it has a +9V connection on the circuit board, you also have the battery connections backwards.
