Re: Pigtronix - Fat Drive [traced]
Sorry to dig up an old one, but I figured I would contribute seeing how I've got so much from FSB over the years. I have a Bass Fat Drive that I bought a while back, and was planning to sell it but I figured I'd trace it out first: Pigtronix Bass Fat Drive PCB.jpg I measured all the caps and compare...

Re: Really Cheap Compressor [documentation]
Nevermind, I found a schematics for a Flatline/Madbean Afterlife indicator Led, that works perfectly well with the Really Cheap Compressor! http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=24296.0;attach=14856;image Putting a led in parallel with the green leds isn't a good idea, ...

I'm a little new to having PCBs made. What service did you use at iTeadstudio, and what were the parameters used? Thanks!

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
Thanks...I've read that thread already. I'm having a hard time relating the mod to the Real Tube layout, and was wondering if anyone else has did the mod to their Real Tube.

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
Could anyone help me as far as adding the bias control to this circuit? I've tried following the diagrams for the Tube Driver on Fred's site, but I'm getting lost: http://revolutiondeux.blogspot.ca/2012/ ... river.html.

I've only had a chance to try it with the 2n3904/1n60 combo, but I hope to try other trannys and diodes this week.

Hey, I built the Quaker using your vero layout and it sounds great! Never tried an original one, but I've been interested in it for a while. Thanks for the layout!

Looks like your vero layout link is dead. I'd certainly be interested in giving this a go.

Yep, awesome vero layout. Just built it the other day, and it works great. I'm using it with bass, but it sounds awesome as a bass overdrive plus it's very tweakable.

Re: Really Cheap Compressor [documentation]
I just built one using the vero layout a few posts back for bass. So far, it sounds pretty sweet, so I'm guessing it's correct. Just a question though, how bright should the leds get? I'm using two green rectangle leds superglued together. They light up, just not bright. I am getting plenty of squis...

Re: Simple JFET-based Fuzz Box from redcircuits
I'd love to try this, but there's no 2n3819s in my area. Is there a workalike, such as the 2n5457?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just bumping this thread as I'm interested in building a BB Bass Preamp using one of Madbean's Glitterrattii boards. Does anyone know the difference with the guitar and bass versions?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It should have plenty of bass. At least the one I built did (using one of Madbean's boards).

Re: Crowther Audio - Prunes & Custard
Okay, it's not boxed up yet but it seems to be working fairly well. I had one long ago, and from memory it sounds like my original.
My question is, if I have the mix at 100% dry but the drive up, it still get some distortion. Is that normal for a P&C? I forget how the controls work.
