Re: Friedman BE-OD Pedal [traced]

I have one more question. When the pedal is off (true bypass) and if you unscrew the volume knob on the pedal to the minimum position of zero, then the guitar volume disappears. I can't figure out what this is about? After all, with "true bypass" this should not be... Maybe you didn't wir...

Re: Friedman BE-OD Pedal [traced]

Hello everyone I made this pedal. I really liked the sound, but there was a problem. When the strings are silenced on overload, the sound strangely fades with wheezing. Such a type of "wheezing" in some cases is produced by fake IC (aliexpress & Co.). Btw. that TL072 & NE5332 are ...

Re: Boss Tone Bender TB-2W

You're right.. That extra JFET buffer right after Q1 could be something related to voltage leakeage of the transistor? As we can see, Boss love to place Jfets and buffers everywhere 8) And what now? The boss inserted additional transistors to "help" the tone bender circuit itself to suppo...

Re: Analogman - King of Tone [traced]

Ill keep the 100p value in my builds, feel free to experiment with other values! In my latest build, i was thinking of inserting 680p considering it is hard to get 750p .. but .. perhaps the best test is to place the sockets and thus determine the differences in noise and tone between 100p & 68...

Re: Mad Professor - Simble [traced]

So, what do the tone controls do? If you had just tried, you would have realized that ACCENT works like a PRESENCE knob, and CONTOUR works like a BRIGHTNESS or classic "tone" control! ;) It sounds different than zendrive to me. It has a few extra parts, yes? Sounds very similar, and yes, ...

Re: Analogman - King of Tone [traced]

The 750p value posted by sprentis is still quite a mystery... to me it’s probably Analogman playing with us pedal nerds like he did with the painted resistors Why do you think that? Honestly, the pedal (clone !) has noticeable noise for an overdrive with 100p when both channels are ON! Even with sh...

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]

By the way, there is no difference if +Vb (4.5V) goes to the junction between P3A & 1k than to the 390n than to the P1A
and vice versa (+Vb goes to the junction between P3A & 390n than to the 1K than to the P1A)?!?

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]

First, the layout of the silicon diodes (zener, 1n4001) is wrong, you don't draw graphs about that?!? :hmmm: Second, the pin layout of the Gain potentiometer is wrong. That doesn't matter to you either? :hmmm: Third, in my opinion not bad at all if the layout of the components (1k, 390n & 1N34A,...

...no matter the position.,...same for the pots, Really?!? You did a pcb with wrong diode orientation and it worked? Please be honest! I thought and did the same until a good musician asked me what the matter was.. :hmmm: :| Well, if the GAIN pot is tied in the wrong way, when it is compl...

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]

BTW. 390n cap & 1K resistor they should swap places according to the schematic & also diodes: zener protection diode (1N4742), silicon diodes (1n4001) & germanium diodes (1N34A) should be reversed! ;)

Hello, with deep respect, didn't you notice small mistakes on the pcb?
Judging by the schematic, this is the correct binding of the dual potentiometer:

Sorry for the improvised wooden box, this one is for testing purposes only: 20200704_154744.jpg I will try to give a brief description of the work of the clone I did. The pedal has been compared today with the original (ver.3 2004) and I can say that it behaves almost identically. The operation of ...
