Re: MN3005 source?
Is there a big difference between the MN3005 and the Cool audio MN3205? Seems they're both 4096 buckets? Sound? No. i beg to differ.... the mn3005 runs on higher voltage rails and thus has better noise and headroom, however the 3005 has a slightly higher % THD. The sound is indeed different, but pe...

Re: Reliable source for IC7660SCPA in US?
farnell has a crap load of these, newark is the US distributer. also try digikey, or if available rs-components. I love mouser too, but sometimes digikey and farnell are just cheaper with certain components.

Re: np electrolytic caps in eagle
i understand you just want to make the pcb and move on. However if you are going to use Eagle a lot more in the future, i would recommend you learn how to make custom libraries of adapt libraries early on. i know i used to spend hours trying to find the right components libraries on the web.... If y...

WTB: polystyrene/styroflex caps 10n and up
I've been trying to source some styroflex caps for a passive eq but i can't seem to find any values higher than 10n.
if anyone is able to help me out please send me a PM.

Re: Is it possible to use ramp-and-hold as a quasi tap-tempo?
i don't think it would be that hard to make a tap tempo delay. The only problem would be to calibrate the variable resistor/whatever! (lm13700, ldr, fet, transistor, etc?) to drive the delay time of the chip your using. Using a Uc it's really easy to sample a switch and create a VC to control the sa...

Re: RG Keen Neutron PCB Question...
i've had some trouble in the past with printing other people's layouts too. The solution for me is usually just trail and error. I print out the design on a couple of normal sheets of paper and compare the holes with components that i have lying around. What works best for me is using an opamp socke...

Re: Moog Ring Mod
i just love these boxes. although i've never owned one, recorded a couple of bands that's used em. and the end result was always impressive. don't think it'll be too hard to reverse them or make a work-a-like, just find the article "working with OTA's" that's floating around the net and ta...

Yesterday i recieved my DMM by mail and opened it up after playing with it for a while (got the new sensor corp reissue REV D 4 x 3008). i noticed that it clipped in a pretty nasty way when pushed. So i replace U1 with a socket + tl072 and i found it clips a lot better now. Also when i push the leve...

i'd love to see a schematic too!! i've been trying to snatch one up on marktplaats (dutch ebay type of site) but i'm always too late. EDIT(gotta start reading better DOH) %since i've got an alecto bbd echo with a mn3005 i'm wondering if the pearl is based on that chip too. Since the alecto is totall...
