I'm looking for a guitar potentiometer range that can be easily opened up, have the wafer swapped and closed again.
Preferably the only tools needed should be screwdriver, pliers, spanner.
The larger 24mm would be best.
And of course, I wouldn't want them to cost the earth.

Alpha pots don't seem to be very easy for this.
I bought some Fleor pots that look a bit like CTS pots, but getting the wafer off the spindle is not proving easy.

Anyone know a good source?

Is anybody interested in tracing the Aguilar Octomizer?
I have one a long time ago, and tried to trace it myself, but don't have the time and knowledge to do it.
I degooped the little secret part of the PCB, but I'm afraid I scratched too much and deleted the marking on an IC. And there is a smd diode broken too, that I think it's a dual smd diode, kind of 1n4148.
I can messure any resistor or capacitor, or desolder too.

I made some inroads towards tracing the PS-001 Distortion.

Turns out it is more than an MXR Distortion+ with a Muff tone control. Structurally it's more like a Boss DS-1.
(Given the similarity of the Guyatone PS-005 Overdrive to the Boss OD-1 it's not surprising there is some similarity to the Boss DS-1.)

Unfortunately there's some ambiguity regarding the tone control caps. (The two polyester caps on the middle-edge of the PCB where the wires are).

This is my first time getting PCBs made (by JLCPCB) and I would also like to order the front plates for my pedals: actually, this is the main reason why I order these PCBs, as making boards at home for my projects is my favorite part of the pedal making process.
But making and applying the pedals artwork is always a real pain: PCBs as front plates seem to be the cheapest and easiest way to get a professional looking finish.

Guyatone made a large number of pedals by there's surprisingly few schematics.

I started off looking at the Guyatone PS-001 Distortion but there's not a lot of PCB pics out there.

In the process I found some info on the sister pedal Guyatone PS-005 Overdrive. At times people have tried to guess what this one is as well

I managed to trace the structure of the circuit. It looks like a Boss OD-1 (ish) circuit with a Muff Tone control. Unfortunately no values.

I’m looking for something like mesa boogie does for their pedals. Maybe use one of the companies that does metal biz cards? The thought is having universal cases for all products and use different metal covers for each product. This way I can gain flexibility by not having dedicated cases with silkscreens. A lot depends on the cost of the plate + case vs case + silkscreen. Also, those that use these, do you use rivets or glue or just count on the switch and pot nuts to secure the plate?

Got this in for repair. Main complaint: The Howling Adjust control doesn't do anything, whether with the fuzz, the wah or both engaged.

Very cool pedal - nice smooth wah, and a really nice octave-fuzz. The tone control blends in the octave very nicely. Even better, the fuzz and wah work really well together. But turning the Howling Adjust control has no effect.

Hey - I have built these before, but it has been awhile. Got it all together and it sounds great, except when the Depth control goes past the 2 o'clock position it starts to thump, getting quite dramatic as the depth increases.

Voltages seem perfect - 9.2v in all the A voltage spots, and 4.6v at all the B voltage spots. Tried different chips, even a TL022 in place of the 062 with no change at all.

Checked for solder bridges and correct parts. Even moved the wires away from the 022 chip....
