fuzzyric: Haven't experimented with too many transistors, unfortunately. Let me know what you find!
Rotagilla: Hm...interesting. The clip doesn't sound quite like a Tonebender. Would you agree? It's nowhere near as aggressive as a MK II, nor quite as smooth as a 3 knob.

Tobias Karlsson - Toneburner (Modified 3-knob Tonebender)
Does anyone have any experience with this circuit? I'm currently addicted to fuzz pedals, and am looking into many different kinds. (Currently populating a Superfuzz, and two Tonebenders. Already have a couple, including a Fulltone '69 clone, another Fuzz Face, and Doug Hammond's Hot Silicon) I saw ...

Re: Roger Mayer - Octavia [schematic]
To get the cool sounds out of the Octavia, you've really got to use it past the 12th fret. That's when the upper octave becomes obvious.

Re: Foxrox - Wah before fuzz retrofit ( buffer )
I don't really understand the last two posts, so I'll clarify in case I didn't make sense before. Instead of having a wah that is retrofitted to output a high impedance with a Foxrox buffer, why not have a fuzz retrofitted to have a foxrox buffer before the fuzz circuit but after the switch, to rai...

Re: Noomerang Wah?
Oh really? I always wondered about those. What's the inductance on those things?
Have you ever tried running current through the secondaries? R.G. talks about that in his Wah article. Says it might help mimic the slightly magnetic quality that original Clyde inductors had.

Re: Noomerang Wah?
Cool, didn't expect ya to find my thread. :P That's good news, I wonder why Markov got some crackle... Well, I printed out the transfer today...probably gonna etch it and a half dozen boards tomorrow or Monday. Can't wait! EDIT: I know that pot travel was an issue for the first Boomerang reverse eng...

Noomerang Wah?
Has anyone built this circuit? http://gaussmarkov.net/wordpress/circuits/noomerang/ Found it on this site, I guess it was developed by the folks at ROG? Not a lot of documentation on it, nor did a search anywhere reveal anything. Has any one tried it? If so, did you experience the crackle from DC le...

Re: Blues Saraceno - Germanium Boy
Haha, I had always heard of so much mojo about Blues' pedals... I built a NPN Rangemaster with a rotary select input cap, just like this, haha. Had no idea that was the design here. Gotta say, his PTP wiring gives PTP wiring a bad name. Sometimes it looks super cool. This is not one of those times.....

Re: Foxrox - Wah before fuzz retrofit ( buffer )
^Yeah, i looked at the datasheet, and that's what I found out, too.
So just to confirm how to wire this thing....it would be...
wah pot > Foxrox input and Foxrox output > switch output?

Re: Foxrox - Wah before fuzz retrofit ( buffer )
Is there any reason the perf layout uses a 1N4007 diode, as opposed to the 1N4001 I see in the schematic?
Or is that just another little error?
