Reportedly, one way to get that sound is the FETZOG.

No problem. I recognized the PCB, so I just made a composite photo and they matched. :D

The "Angry Troll" and the "Tone Leper" are the same except for the "range" (Anger) control. They use
the same PCB as well.

Re: Danelectro - Transparent Overdrive [schematic]

Up until June '08 the pedals were $105. I've just last month started working on my June orders which saw the price come up to $129. Hated to do it, but shipping along with parts costs have really come up a bunch. What's $129US in pounds? Big green donkey balls... All I know is that you build one he...

Re: Holowon - Static Egg

I almost want to see a pic of it now, just to view the horror... Thanks for the scheme; now I'll have a reference if I ever need to repair one! OK, but this is gonna hurt you more than it hurts me... Pictures are attached. The wire is so thin that if you breathe on it wrong it breaks. S...

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Companies rip each other off all the time...how do you think Behringer got it's start ?

Holowon - Static Egg

Wow, talk about poor build quality. This came in a trade deal, so I went to put a new battery in and TWO wires came off ! The board is loosely lodged in between the switch and the input jack, and the battery is lodged ...well, placed....on the other side of the switch. When I pulled up the battery c...

Re: Ultra Lord, production model not the DS. [traced]

There is a mistake. The junction of the 10K, 180K and .001uF cap are connected at the wrong side of the 39K resistor on the collector of the third transistor. Also, the 180k should be an 18k IIRC - I'll have to dig up my old notes Are you sure because you looked over the PCB layout and made a few c...

Re: Baldwin-Burns - Buzzaround [schematic]

Dave at D*A*M has put one of his beauties up for sale and last I checked 12 people were vying for it. They effectively drove the price to 797 Pounds Sterling! He does nice work and deserves to make some of the obscene money his pedals exchange hands for currently. But this is not an original and I'...

Yes, it should..... The most important part for the sound is around Q3. The first two transistor act only as a (linear) amplifier - theoretically they even could be replaced by silicon transistors when the bias is adjusted properly to them. analogguru You can - I built one using a MPSA13 Darlington...
