Re: so, i broke a new dod pedal tonite..but found cool mod.. [schematic]
Great thread! So I pulled C19 and I think I kind of like it in there, but would like to split the difference if I could. Would changing the 3.3k resistor in the feedback path on that 3rd op-amp accomplish that? Any help would be appreciated. The C24 change is great. I changed R16 to 5k and that was ...

Re: Is it possible to have less mids in a Boss SD-1?
So if this is centered on 800 Hz, how wide of a band will this affect? This depends on the DC-reistance of the used inductor. If the bandwith is too small, add a resistor (potentiometer) in series to the inductor. analogguru So with the potentiometer I could dial in the Q I wanted? Very cool. I am ...

Re: Is it possible to have less mids in a Boss SD-1?
If you have the tone control not in use or nearly in the mid-position, you can try this: 1.) remove C5 and R8 2.) place a 1µF capacitor instead of C5 3.) place a 47mH inductor instead of R8 The inductor looks like this: http://www.conrad.at/goto.php?artikel=535516 Now you have a mid control around ...

Re: Is it possible to have less mids in a Boss SD-1?
Thanks Guru, I found this page over at AMZ http://www.muzique.com/lab/tstone.htm I put tone control version 4 in and I am liking it pretty well. Not exactly like the sound I was getting with the EQ, but it is certainly more open in the mids. I will play with this for a bit and if its not doing it fo...

Is it possible to have less mids in a Boss SD-1?
I have an SD-1 that I have been playing around with and it is getting closer to what I want, but I am wondering if there is a way to pull some mids out of it? Here is what I have done to it so far, a bit of a mish-mash of mods. -D4 and D6 changed to 3mm led - D6 is about 1.5v, D4 is about 1.8v. -rem...
