I figured out my issue,I had Q2 in backwards....but I broke one of the leads off removing it damn haha. Oh well, an excuse to do another build, not worth just ordering a single J201

I ended up building it on Perf board with the layout at ROG. Still, I had to try a number of different transistor orientation (not how they were listed on the layout) and suddenly I got LED, then some more orientation trial and error and I got tremolo.
