Thanks, yes, this is the only gut pic I found myself. The maker goes on about hand selecting the right AC128s for each pedal. This along with the pic makes me tend to believe this is a FF with the gain/leakage in the builder's preferred range.
Thanks,
George

Scott Mckeon - SM Fuzz [schematic]
I have recently been introduced to this pedal and it is intriguing to me. Did a search on the site and was unable to locate anything here. Is this just a tuned germanium fuzz face or something unique?
Thanks,
George

Re: Gig flanger [schematic]
Thanks Dirk, The history of the Locobox is interesting and looks like the only thing changed is the enclosure. The chorus in the second link appears to be using the same chips. Surprising as I understood that a chorus requires a longer delay time. Has me wondering what I could do with the fx:4... Ge...

Re: Gig flanger [schematic]
Just for the heck of it. Here is another Washburn flanger that was given to me as part of another pedal purchase. This one is a little newer and the box is bigger. Of the two i like the A-F4 better; the fx:4 is more subtle.

Re: Gig flanger [schematic]
Dirk - yes i have been to the site before. I knew there were other brands related to the Washburn pedals. I wasnt familiar with the "Gig" brand. Here is the instruction manual. Like most pedals very brief, basicly a small two sided brochure folded in half. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg ima...

Washburn - AF4 Flanger [schematic]
The Gig flanger looks very similar to the Washburn A-F4 flanger. I bought this one new around '85. The flanger was rather weak sounding but didn't really know any better when I bought it. A while later I noticed that the manufacturer was using the mechanical connection between the pots and the box a...

Re: Low Profile Electrolytics
Thanks for the suggestions. It is looking like Mouser may be best solution for one stop shopping. roseblood11, your suggestion for uk-electronic made me think I should search subminiature instead of low-profile. This lead to a surprise. Parts Express has a selection of sub-mini caps at reasonable pr...

Low Profile Electrolytics
Where is the best place to purchase low profile electrolytic caps? I have checked Small Bear, Tayda, Mammoth, and Pedal Parts Plus with little luck. Tayda had a couple values and the others don't indicate in the parts description.

Re: PCB Drilling
Thanks for the help Bato. I searched the sears site and it doesn't look like they are selling the craftsman branded moto tools any longer but here are some options found. Is your plunge attachment like this http://www.sears.com/milescraft-rotary-tool-stand/p-00928889000P?prdNo=14&blockNo=64&...

PCB Drilling
I tried to search and came up empty handed. A google search gave me varying info since there are so many applications for PCBs. What size drill bits should i be using when etching my own boards? I tried a couple using a #60 bit and while it worked, the holes felt a little large. Where is the best pl...

Rogue Tremolo Mod
I was looking to buy an affordable tremolo and found this one at MF for under $30. Word on the net is this is a copy of the Boss TR-2 which most seem to like. I thought how could I go wrong? Well after receiving the Rogue tremolo and playing through it I wasn't sure it was going to work for me. The ...
