Re: BAJA AFD MkII OVERDRIVE PEDAL 2018

:slap: ok sorry.
I think it does not really matters as clipper but you should take care of the diodes orientation.
Probably you'll need to flip the 1N4148 to keep symmetrical clipping.

Re: BAJA AFD MkII OVERDRIVE PEDAL 2018

If you're talking about swap the 2SK117 FETs with a PNP transistor, this won't work.
You may try J201, or 2SK30.

Re: Jext Telez - White Pedal [traced]

You can try the 470mH Wilco inductor, at Smallbear's: http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/wilco-axial-lead-inductors/ They are quite small : 18mm x8mm without the legs. To my opinion they sound very nice, but I've only tested them in a fixed EQ, compared to the cheaper Bourns the Wilco ar...

Re: RG Keen Active ABY problem

Here is this ABY in situation in my router. SW13.1 pinA2 is from the input section (not pictured). I've checked many times to track a mistake, but I still don't understand why the signal on output "D" on my schematic is clipped and 1/3 amplitude compared to output "C". Moreover, if I connect output ...

RG Keen Active ABY problem

Hello I've build a big signal router box with 2 ABY, 6 loops, order switch for 2 loops, tuner out, master mute, super hard on booster... I've tried to run all this circuit passive, except the SHO booster and a buffer for tuner out. But I had impedance issues, and ground problems (LEDS are fed by a 7...

Re: through hole components pad and hole sizes

Hi usually I draw patterns for resistors, small signal diodes, and capacitors with these parameters: type: through hole shape: Oval width: 1.65mm height: 1.65mm Hole shape: Round diameter: 1mm This is pretty standard and works fine with most component, even the Vishay military resistors will fit the...

Re: Anyone successfully tried the Coda Effects relay switchi

Hello

please could you explain why you've removed the freewheel diode on the relay?
Usually this diode is mandatory to protect the relay against feedback voltage.

Thanks.

Re: Relay bypass

There are many interesting projects at aresaudio, some of them involve true bypass with relay and signal mute, for example: http://www.aresaudio.com/files/Picolooper-V3-schematic.jpg I think you should be a registered user to access the "download" section, maybe the firmware is available in this sec...

Re: Splitter to Amp and Line Driver

Hi

to make a simple line driver, you can also have a look to some ICs:
http://www.thatcorp.com/1600-series_Bal ... _ICs.shtml
http://www.analog.com/media/en/technica ... SM2142.pdf
http://www.ti.com/product/DRV135

This may helps to reduce part count.

Re: Lovepedal Champ [traced]

Hi Maybe you can try to measure de diodes with a DMM, if this is in the 650mV range it will be silicon, and if its in the 250mV range it's probably germanium. However I have some 1N34A in DO35 package but with a green mark for the cathode pin, not black as on the 1N914 or 1N4148. Anyway thanks for t...

Re: Anyone successfully tried the Coda Effects relay switchi

Hello I'm also interested in relay bypass tricks... I wonder if you used the "latest" code provided by Benoit? Look at the schematic on this page, you'll see a 1K5 resistor to pin1 of IC2, it doesn't appears on previous schematics, maybe this causes your problem? http://www.coda-effects.com/2017/02/...

Re: pedal rehousing

Hi I see no major problem here. You'll have to pay attention to power consumption: your power source should be able to handle the 3 circuits on one output. Also be careful with the grounds: those 3 circuits should have a common ground, but try to avoid ground loops ( redundant wiring). If you want m...

Re: RG Keen's latching relay driver for bypass switching [SOLVED]

Hi

I've a dumb question:
How the relay's coils don't fry when powered with +9V?
The datasheet for the TQ2-L2-5VDC states 5VDC, and max allowed voltage 7.5VDC.
Why don't use the 9V version?

Thanks.

Hi,
you can see the value printed on the other side of the pots, but you'll have to remove the knobs to unscrew the pots.
Like this 250K Lin potentiometer:

Re: Menatone Pig [traced]

OK I've corrected the pcb by JohnK, however I can't edit the parts layout with transparency etc... I hope it's clear enough. I've build two of them without noticing this mistake, but I've soldered C15 correctly according to the schematics so everything was fine. It's a good thing to always have the ...

Re: Menatone Pig [traced]

You're right, it's a mistake:
this capacitor C15 is between the pin2 of the Gain pot and the Gate of Q5.
The trace should be cut under the cap.
