Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

Or could it be that I'm checking for a non-standard pin arrangement based on some peculiarity?

I'd prefer to get such a "controversial" trace correct. I have no interest in the circuit itself.

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

Can you use the diode function on your multimeter to measure them? Just put the leads across Q2 (important) in both directions and post the readings. Thanks again!

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

Call him out to who? "Those" people don't get schematics. Anyway, I'll be posting it soon enough. http://forum.musikding.de/vb/showthread.php?t=30248&highlight=benton&page=3 If you're impatient, take that schematic and make these changes: 310K in parallel with DRIVE, 1K5 in paralle...

That can't be right then. Looks like 310K to me and that would pretty much align with the parallel reading. Thanks.

It is an OCD. I've traced it.

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

What's that resistor across the "OD" potentiometer looking like to everyone else?

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

It is an OCD, I've traced it in my head. Thought that was already established. I'll draw the schematic just so there can be no confusion. Would like better pictures of the lower MOSFET section, though.

If the OP posts the capacitor values, I'll make a list of the mods.

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

If I was trying to make an OCD clone, and wanted it to sound slightly different, I'd give it an asymmetrical clipping option - this could be the use for the extra transistor. Your average Boutique Boob wouldn't bother with a bypass buffer - particularly when it wouldn't pass the "does-it-pass-...

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

However - it's got a TPDT footswitch, so the LED is going to be switched by one of the poles. That's why there's an SM resistor there feeding the LED. Sure, I'm not blind or ignorant, those things are quite obvious. It's just that there are some peculiarities about the bypass scheme and my only oth...

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

It's not unlikely at all, actually. That switch changes the corner frequency of the low-pass filter/tone control at the output of the circuit.

I'm sure the extra MOSFET is just a Millenium Bypass.

I've found my redraw, that was buried so deeply in fact 8) ... do you think I can post it? It's maybe a silly question, but as it is not the original drawing, could it be allowed? If so I can put everything in a zip file. PLEASE MAN PUT IT HERE!!!!! many of us are waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry,...
