Re: Help me ID this vintage fuzz! [schematic]

Hey... I'm curious too about this one. So I posted your thread and photos over at the DAM forum, as those guys have certainly seen their share of fuzz:

Wow, that's so interesting... weird timing. I know mirosol and IvIark were pulling their hair out over this one... In the meantime I had been looking at it separately. Thanks for finally getting something working!

Re: Keeley Compressor C4 [gut shot] [traced]

EDIT: I should add... what did y'all do in terms of the 150K pots that you found satisfactory? Because obviously I could create a pot with a max of 150k with a resistor across a 500k... but would the sweep then be satisfactory?

Hey guys... what did y'all do in terms of the 150K pots? I have been searching for someone who answered this question, but I didn't find anyone answering it.

Re: Gristleizer [verified]

Yeah, I found it to be that way. Question though: did you put the two trimpots on the outside or the inside? Because I have rewired my gristleizer twice because of ticking noise, and I think it has to do with my having put the trimpots on the outside as pots and then turning them into certain positi...

Beedotman! Trace that shit! I want to see a vero or tagboard/turretboard version of your Mr. Morphine!!! (specifically curious as to how he biases it -- any resistor changes), and also, what the exact values of his filter circuit are!

Re: Sola Sound - Tone Bender Mark I (1965) [schematic]

I never had a Pigdog, but I have a Jerms MKI that I cherish... I've built a couple MKIs myself, and it's hard to make an MKI using those traditional methods with part selection that makes them sound exactly right. The Jerms is as raucous and raw as an MKI can be without completely being a noisy usel...

Re: Colorsound - Power Boost / Overdriver

I did another layout for the CSOD, and I forgot to share it here! Super easy build. Board-mounted pots w/ gain control, made to fit very comfortably in a 1590BB. http://www.justonemorebuild.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/IMG_0390-150x112.jpg http://www.justonemorebuild.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/1...

Oh wow, good reminder ModMan! I haven't looked at the FAQ section since I was a wee tinkerer, hehe.

Also, thanks again DrN., that's just the kind of quick summary that I needed.

Re: Recommendations for budget scope?

Awesome, thanks both of you guys... I was hoping perhaps someone might give me an idea as to what KINDS of requirements I need to find a (VERY) cheap one on craigslist used... I see them come up in the price range of 125-200 a lot here in the bay area, but I don't know if what I'm looking at is what...

Re: WHERE TO BUY: D*A*M* Pedal parts?

Completely besides my previous post in this thread, I would have to agree whole-heartedly with johnnyg. I wasted quite a bit of money when I started out building because I really didn't know what I was doing and built some really shoddy pedals with quite expensive/rare parts. Almost all of those ear...

Recommendations for budget scope?

Hey all, So I have a few effects on my bench that could really benefit from using a scope to set the trimpots. Specifically, right now I have two delays, and a few modulation effects that I need a scope for. But I looked into the world of oscilloscopes and suddenly realized, "Oh god, I'm way in...

Re: WHERE TO BUY: D*A*M* Pedal parts?

Yeah, I'm not going to get into any debate of what DAM pedals are or aren't, and I wasn't trying to start a fight. I just really felt that it had to be said, and I'm sure you can appreciate how it might have appeared to be a fishy post. I myself have learned SO MUCH from studying how DAM (and other ...

Re: Integrated Resistor LED's

I really love the little Radio Shack integrated fresnel/LED. The main reason I like 'em is that they're really sturdy in terms of construction plus the leads are wire which makes using them braindead simple. No need to mess with glue or whatnot to get it to stay in the bezel. That said, the only dra...
