Re: High Gain Yellow Jacket OC44's
I'd doubt with gains that high that they actually have zero leakage. I would guess from those measurements that you're using a Peak Atlas DCA55? It's been mine and others' experience that the Peak will always show zero leakage for OC43, OC44 and OC45. I'm not sure exactly why this is... anyhow, I ju...

Re: D*A*M - Professional Fuzz Sound
Wowza, that's SO much lower than mine. I have sockets on the first one I built, maybe I should try it with lower gainers and see what happens. So you're saying out of all three positions, the MAX was 60?
My MKIII is much fuzzier than the MKIV. The MKIV is very subtle as it goes.

Re: New Fuzz Face-like boxes
Considering that Dunlop is charging 65 bucks for a fuzz face enclosure, I'd say 33 bucks for one of these guys is very decent, on top of the fact that it's uniquely smaller too, very cool Roa!
I'll take two!

Re: D*A*M - Professional Fuzz Sound
Hmm... I've built two Fuzz Sounds as well as an straight-up MKIII, but I don't have a real one to measure. But I could take measurements for you of the fuzz Sounds I built if you'd like. The gains I ended up using were pretty standard darlington pair for Q1/Q2 of around 70. On the second one I built...

Re: D*A*M FZ-673 [traced]
Yeah, I'm one of the people sinner contacted. I have to agree regarding the handful-of-trannies suggestion. I used the trannies that Dave Main used, oc75, oc45, oc75 (although my oc75's were just normal philips, black glass, and my oc45 was a valvo. But as with other MKI's I've built, I found it MUC...

How exactly does one wire buffered in/output, say for this layout? How does one wire the switch/jacks, where does it all go?

70's-ish Fuzz that was traced by Brad of Creepy Fingers, and traced/dissected over at the DAM forums.
Anyone want to take a shot at making up a vero layout? Mods, I posted this over at the Requests folder, so if this is out of order, please feel free to delete this thread.

It was a pre-amp boost stage.
See this one from Dave Main describing one that came in for a tune-up:

Re: D*A*M Ezekiel 25:17 [traced]
I built this one not long ago, and it sounds really awesome. I based it on the vero beedotman posted above, combined with the rotary switch diagram earlier in this thread, so I could do it the original way, without having two switches in place of the rotary.

Re: Germanium Diodes
I've used the 270's in a number of pedals, and they're grrreat. One trick a friend of mine did was to build a rat with a switch going between germanium and silicon diodes. I was surprised at what a huge difference they make. D*A*M also uses the 270 in one (maybe more?) of his pedals.
