Here is my recording:

My settings: everything is on max accept the tone is on 12 oçklock, and the colume is adjusted to have a good balance with clean.

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
It's so fast, I can't really hear the guitar sound.
It suits the band well.
I think I might build the X2FET the Randall emulator next.

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Hello Kabi, I've listened to the sample. I like the sound, it is similar to mine, however mine sounds tighter. Maybe because you have your gain not on full. I have it on full all the time. My mid knop wors ok, however the presence knop doesn't seem to make any difference. Personally I don't think th...

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Kabi, where are you from?
Contact echoes for the pcb, otherwise i have a person in The Netherlands who might be willing to etch a pcb for you.

Ask the guys who invented this thing. Search in the beginning of this topic. The nickname is echoes, they will help you.

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Thanx for the explanation. And man I hop you can fix this problem. Can you post some sound samples? I still have a problem with my DIEFET. In bypass I hear oscillation when the gain is past 3 ocklock. It is kind of a peep, like the one you hear in your ears after expoxing them to loud music. It is n...

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
If this only happens, when you place the other devise before the Diefet, you should add a 100n capacitor before the input of the circuit board. in addition you should place a 1M resistor to ground before this to avoid clicks while switching. This means: From the Switch (The pin that is connected to...

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
I finished it finally. It works.
Here is the sample for those who are interested.
Recorded on a Matamp GTO 120 and a SG tuned to B:

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Sorry i meant 0,1uF, it is the one that is connected direclty to the sweep potmeter.
It's true, the DEEP pot has a small effect on the sound at this moment. Do you recommend to use a smaller cap like 220pF or something like that?

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Hey, i got it to work. THe schematic and the partslist differ in 1 component. The capasitor just after the DEEP pot, the on that connects to the sweeper must be 1,1uF like the schematic sais. This capasitor (C27) in the partslist is beeing marked as 1nF. So i changed that but nothing improved. Then ...

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Do you mean the 33K resistor between the 1 22nF capasitors above the U1a? Ok i will.
Can you explain this oscillation a bit? Why would the circuit oscillate if the resistor wasn't good?
Kind regards,

Re: DIEFET: Jfet simulation of the Diezel VH4
Hello kantul, I used 5 j201 fets. I have removed the C26 from the pcb during debugging. If you look on the layout I posted it is the first capacitor after the treble pot. So basicall now there is a cut in the circuit. When I use the audioprobe now, I hear a good aplified sound on the treble pot (I a...
