Re: My Boss Katana KTN-100 Mk II Digital Modelling Amp
There is also an extended app that can access all the hidden features of the DSP, this gives you access to many more amp models and a really nice interface. You can install both the Boss tone studio and the extended katana app on your computer and still use them both. The extended app for hidden amp...

Re: EHX - Holy Stain [schematic]
Yes, I am sorry that all the traces I made have 404'd after the loss of 'photobucket. Other than the fuzz part of the circuit the FV-1 side was only datasheet stuff using internal programs and not all of them. I did post mods in the thread to add an external eeprom and extra FV-1 pots but they have ...

Re: Electro Harmonix - Holy Stain [GUT SHOTS] [schematic]
Here is an updated schematic, the only bits that need adding now are the fuzz effect, the 3pdt wiring and the program scroll switch. https://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/lenny1dog/holystain3.png Could you upload this schematic again please? Or anyone else who has it. Thanks. I'm very sorry as it...

Re: FXCore Module - Compact Dev Board [documentation]
Yes agreed, I am waiting on AKM getting back into production. I did manage to get hold of 15 x AK4619 4 in/4 out pre production codecs a while back but if you only need 2 in/2out then I think Coolaudio have stock of the V4220 codecs which are clones of the Cirrus Logig CS4220. I might switch to the...

Re: FXCore Module - Compact Dev Board [documentation]
Nice project, I was going to do something along the same lines but have put it off due to the shortage of Codec chips. Love the idea. Thanks! Yeah convertors are getting pretty scarce nowadays. Hope it'll get better once AKM gets back on its feet. Yes agreed, I am waiting on AKM getting back into p...

Re: Mosky Plexi-m [schematic]
I ordered a Plexi-m today. When I receive it I can find out the missing capacitance values in the signal path. With my PEAK LCR45 LCR and impedance meter I can measure the impedance of the RC circuits and determine the capacitor by calculation. I think I would be tempted to just remove and measure ...

Re: Park - Auto Wah [schematic]
The basis of the speed control is build around an 'Astable Multivibrator circuit, this is also the basic building block of a flip-flop circuit which can be Astable, monostable and bistable as used in Boss style switching. In the case of the Park autowah it is the astable type with a control for spee...

Aye it's crazy init as all the pubs are shut around here as well, something to do with some sort of new virus I have been hearing about lately but they were open when i posted this in 2019 lol.
Fingers crossed we all get a bit of normality back in 2021.
Happy New Year Deltafred.

Re: Death by Audio - Echo Master (gut shots)
... Define wrong. That's the difficult one. If the device works, can one conclude the design is good? So, in general, the aim for a decent PCB design is to place all parts and connections in the most optimal way. After taking that into account this aim is immediately challenged by all other constra...

Re: Death by Audio - Echo Master (gut shots)
The thing that I see first is the wrong type of pot mounting, long legged pots shoved through the solder pads by about half an inch.

What's the worst thing that can happen if the new solder is mixed with the old solder, Plush? It'd get angry and splatter all over your face and stuff... In reality, mixing new and old solder sometimes makes new, crappy alloy, that might have quite different properties than the originals bef...

I appreciate your efforts. It is so hard to traced na pedals without full gutshots. I hope someone kind enough who has this pedal to share some more photos so we can trace this awesome pedal. Here is an idea, If it is a pedal you really need then maybe buy one, work out the schematic yourself and p...

Re: What companies do small pub runs
but your comment on cons is incorrect in my case. There are no markings on any of my orders, they only have what I put on the silks. Maybe you should take a closer look at yours. Their marking is mandatory since they automatically sort and check them. I've had a lot of pcbs from jlc and all had mar...

Re: What companies do small pub runs
My personal favourite is JLCPCB. Pros: pretty nice quality Cons: they incorporate their ID into your pcb design as a silk screen and there is nothing you can do about it (except than hide it behind some component or place it on a piece, separated by vcut/milling from the rest of your design). I agr...
