Have you wired the foot switch so when in bypass it grounds the effect input?
if not then check the off board wiring in the link.
It really helps with popping noise.

I built mine using these two files.

Tone pot in the schematic is wrong.It should be 25k linear.
In some gut shots you can see the letter B at the silkscreening.

With a 4-pole super switch you can have hum canceling in every position even with an RW/RP middle pickup.
There is a diagram in the ilitch site showing this configuration.

Sorry,the 270k value was a silly mistake.270R is what i should have write in the first place.220R is appropriate value too.

Another way to protect your OT is to solder one 270k 5 watt resistor from 16 ohm tap of OT to ground.This way your OT is protected even if your speaker cord fails or your Impedance switch goes wrong.
