Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]

I´m honoured to call Björn my friend* and I´d be very surprised if he himself was the one "lying" about his pedal design! I´m pretty sure that the 100% original desing-thing (what a stupid thing to claim by the way  How could anything be a 100% original desing :? ) comes from the m...

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]

I´ve been a professional musician for 35 years and I use equipment that works and sound good. I really agree, but the Honey Bee doesn't look that reliable to me (PCB, goop, wiring), especially at that bloody price... I like the sound first, and the thing second. But I gotta love the thing no matter...

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]

I'm sure some people will be very upset that they spent the kind of money they did on these pedals. Do you really think so? If that is the case, they bought the pedals for all the wrong reasons IMHO. I´ve been a professional musician for 35 years and I use equipment that works and sound good . That...

Re: Xotic - RC Booster [traced]

Previous schematic has a small mistake... please delete the attachment. This schematic is now correct. XoticRCBooster_correct.GIF I own a first generation of these, and it is a nice pedal for fattening up my SC guitars but I´d like to know which values to change in order to "update" the p...

Re: SD Shape Shifter

I suppose that this is the mod: • In that case...here is what you do. Open the pedal and find the blue 3PDT bypass switch. There are two brown wires that go to the outside left pole of the switch. It will be the group of three lugs that has one lug unused. Desolder one of the wires (either one) and ...

Re: SD Shape Shifter

Someone on TGP posted how they did the easy mod to allow it to tap tempo in bypass: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=472184&page=4 Not tried it myself That´s the "desolder one wire-mod" right? As it leaves both leds on all the time, I´d rather skip that one, but of co...

SD Shape Shifter

I have 2 issues that needs to be fixed in my Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter Tremolo. The first one is that the volume needs to be increased a bit when the pedal is engaged and I´ve gathered info on how to go about that (Don´t know how hard it will be to work with these surface mounted stuff though...)...

Re: Arion - SCH-1 ( Stereo Chorus ) [schematic]

Thanks!

I really can´t tell how many dB´s the boost is, but it´s quite a lot.
A trimpot sounds like the best way to go.

Arion SCH-1 question [schematic]

Those that have played an Arion SCH-1 chorus knows that there is a volume boost when the effect is engaged. This has never been a problem for me personally, but a friend of mine wants his chorus to be modified for "unity gain". Any ideas what to do? https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c109/...

The Timmy is one of my favourite pedals, as well as being the cheapest one on my main board.

Top quality/low price.
Does it get much better?

ROG Thor

I´ve got a ROG Thor that I love for detuned Kings`X style rythm guitar. As I found the bright switch to be too bright, I added a 470k resistor in series with the cable coming back from the bright cap. Sounds perfect! (I also tried a 220k resistor which might be better for darker sounding amps. I hav...
