Re: REQ: Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe [traced]

My guess is that the tone control is probably more like the Hot Silicon/Mictester Tonebender. If ~arph's guesses on the comoponent values from the first page are right, the 8n2 cap is very close to the other tone control components... This would be my guess: This one i guess, it also makes more sen...

Re: REQ: Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe [traced]

Yes, you can influence taper, but shouldn't the 10k be connected to the wiper instead of the low side of the pot to simulate a reverse log action? The way it's connected now just makes the 50kB pot a 8.3kB pot.

Re: REQ: Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe [traced]

Why not replace the tone pot with a 10k and leave out R13? (or am I missing something? it's still early)

Re: Really Cheap Compressor [documentation]

You can point just one led at the ldr. Just put it as close as you can. lots of picture in this thread btw. :secret:

Oh I just belly flopped this on the breadboard and I like it a lot. It is also the first compressor I tried ever since started this whole business. So I can't really compare it.

Re: Another Optical Compressor

Would it help if you point both LED' s to the LDR, this should lower the ripple for lower frequencies, or is the slow response of the LDR sufficient?

You simply posted the parts on the wrong forum. Here, mojo is nono. Most of us do not believe that fifty year old components are/sound better than new ones. So hence the skepticism.

Re: Mwfx judder

Wow this really took off while the forum was inaccesable for me. As I stated it was a quick sketch on how I think it can be done. Unverified an not even tried on the breadboard. The delay section was copied from a different project, so component values me be off too. If it works from that I'd be hap...

Re: Mwfx judder

Ok, quick sketch. The switches are a 3PDT momentary footswitch. In the unpressed state. the guitar signal is routed to the output of the pedal and the input of the PT2399 When pressed, the output of the pedal is taken from the buffered PT2399 output. The input of the PT2399 is taken from the direct ...

Re: Mwfx judder

No info, but I can think of how it can be done. In normal operation the PT2399 gets the input signal. and the output is taken from the direct signal. Then when you press a footswitch you: Connect the input of the PT2399 to the output of the PT2399 and you take the pedal output from the PT2399 output...
