I actually told her about the oven trick and I believe she's using a toaster over.....don't know how stable of a heat sorce you can have with one of those :? . I also found out she was solder SMD parts without flux!?! Look up the gut pics of those Silver rose Pedals...eeek.I asked why she wasn't us...

Re: Biyang AD-7 "Analog" Delay

Does anyone have information on whether the Akai Analog Custom Shop Analog Delay is identical to the Biyang AD-7 ? preferebly with a link to gutshots of the Akai? as I can't find any. I'm betting it is. I bought the Akai Professional Analog Custom Shop Quad-Mode Phase Shifter and from the outside a...

Re: Maestro - The Sustainer [schematic]

On the "Muff-sized" version, I just noticed the switch is on the back, between the jacks. btw grizzly, do you have any part values for the layout/schematic you posted?? 8) Nope, like I say in the post, I have only ever seen the drawing of the PCB solder side mentioned in the post (and lat...

Re: Maestro - The Sustainer [schematic]

This looks like the one I just de-gooped. Any idea how the Hi-Lo switch is wired? thought the "hi/low" switch was for input impeadence selection(?) you know, low Z or Hi Z, mixer input vs guitar input(?) 3 small tape packages what's a "tape package"?? EHman: how many transistors...

Re: Maestro - The Sustainer [schematic]

I haven't seen the blob in question. From the pictures that I've seen all three versions used two 9V batteries but it is possible that some of the SS-1's presented on eBay has been upgraded or modified I guess (SS-1 cover and SS-2 innards?). Here's pics of the three versions, notice same version bl...

Re: Maestro - The Sustainer [schematic]

De-gooping is done. The electrolytics lost their labels so I'll need to pull and measure all of them. Also, most of the resistors will probably need to be pulled/measured. Interestingly, I found 3 small tape packages among the components. 2 consisted of a transistor and diode, all leads removed. The...

Re: Maestro - The Sustainer [schematic]

Not much more to go. The ICs are Fairchild U6A7757393. Couldn't find any info on the interwebs on those. The transistors are 2N5133 and 2N3565. Update: one IC is a U6A7757393. The other is a U6A7723393, which seems to be a 723 voltage regulator. Since it's a U6A7 723 393, I thought the other might ...

Sounds reasonable. They're 14 pin DIL.

That's the one I'm degooping. EHman, there's another one on ebay now-- https://www.ebay.com/itm/360599747082?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 there's this version of the box and a "big muff" box style, without the slide switch. which version are you de-gooping? afn T

In the process of de-gooping one of these today. So, far I can see the bottom of the PCB and it has (2) transistors and (2) 14-pin ICs.
