Re: Colorsound- One Knob Fuzz [schematic]
Great picture AG. (Note that it confirms what I've said all along - that it is a "820 ohm" resistor, not a "82 ohm". Note the "grey-red-brown" bands, not "grey-red-black" on the upper left resistor.) I think it looks more like black than brown. Seriously ? To...

Re: Rosac Nu-Fuzz
I used to have a schemo for this somewhere ...not the hand drawn one. I'll see if I can dig it up. Basically it was the same thing, just had the resistor values (not measured values) as you would buy them (ie 750k on Q1, Q2 collectors) .

Simple, fun Boost-Drive-Fuzz circuit
I like simple things. This is a simple thing.... but versatile. Just a jfet boost into a Bazz/boost section. No brainer really. It uses a 4 position rotary switch to give a wide variety of tones, from "boost" to "fuzz". Low parts count, values aren't too critical, certainly ther...

Re: Seamoon - Funk Machine [schematic]
Yeah, cool. Looks like that unit has a 33K there, if that's the position for that resistor; at least it is in that unit, perhaps or perhaps not the one I looked at long ago and far away. It's always possible the one I looked at had been tinkered with too. So you're saying that occasionally vintage ...

Re: GERMANIUM GOLDMINE !
Will you only sell these as a lot? I'd like some, but I can't justify needing 250! Brian Sorry Brian - I'm offering them as a lot deal. If I start "breaking up the lot" I have too many other things to deal with....shipping hassles...additional advertising...a zillion more questions....all...

Re: Wampler Super Ecstacy or CrankedAC?
After writing several books, selling DIY mod kits for years, etc, I would imagine that Brian has gotten pretty good at writing pretty "bulletproof" instruction manuals. I'm sure there will be people with problem builds, but I would seriously doubt that it was due to "faulty instructio...

Re: Tanabe.tv - Zenkudo
Interesting - the 2M in the beginning is placed oddly and the 2M on the end shouldn't be necessary at all...as you mentioned Martin.... the combo 10n+470n is a little strange too... I wonder how it would sound (or any Zen clone) if you changed R7 to a 10k trim and adjusted the bias point by ear (kin...

Re: Paul Cochrane - Timmy [traced]
I've gotta side with Paul on this - call it what it is....for a number of reasons. 1) proper credit 2) easier searching 3) less confusion in the future 4) more accurate re: circuit origins
Then again, what the hell do I know ?

Re: Tonefactor - Ultralord / Dirty Sanchez
I've tried to do a bit of spelunking here, especially in light of Andy's departure from the business. Here's the original schematic for the Dirty Sanchez, as it first appeared - http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-11/897786/DIRTYSANCHEZSCHEMATIC.jpg It was basically designed to be built with Radio ...

BBD chips 4 sale
NOS TDA1022 BBD chips...I have 4 available, popular 4 reverbs, delay, chorus...Jurgen Haible used these in his amazing Triple Chorus project.
These are fairly expensive, but cheap compared to some other BBD chips. Easy to work with.
Four of them for $25 shipped in the USA. Paypal only please.
