Re: EH Memory Boy

9.6V IS a standard power supply. All the big switched mode types (powerall, diago and onespot) give a fairly solid 9.6V at any draw. What power supply did you have a problem with?

How are you planning on connecting the primaries to the mains?

Re: Bigger Inductors?

You could put two 1Hs in parallel to make 0.5H couldn't you?

I believe the inductance will just translate the frequency range. Some of the old Snarling Dogs wahs had an external footswitch for swapping inductors to give different freq ranges.

At this point it's just curiosity. See what you can read off the larger ICs.

Re: Behringer FX600 multi fx info [schematic]

It *could* be an FV-1. If they programmed all those effects custom and then used a microcontroller to swap programs, it would be totally doable. I think. I agree it could, but the FV1 is not a cheap part, and behringer must have the algorithms and infrastructure to work more cheaply in another plat...

I doubt it's an FV-1; probably something a bit more hardcore.

Re: Electro-Harmonix Freedom Pre-Amp [schematic]

You should be able to work out those last few connections based on the pinout of the op-amp. It needs to get power, and the signal goes towards inputs and away from outputs.

Re: The 'Sound' of Capacitors..

CJ, the cap is only seperated from the circuit by the resistance of the pot, which for a gibson could be as little as 250k.

Re: The 'Sound' of Capacitors..

I can't, as very different sounding speakers can have exactly the same curves :) And then, how do you measure the difference between an Alnico speaker and a Ceramic one ? Frequency response, harmoni...

Re: The 'Sound' of Capacitors..

I did not record the tests from my boosters, as i di not think it would be useful at the time, as i have a hard time keeping a single one for me  , and anyway, as the frequency corner is tunable, i would probably get some "the pot was not in the exact same position" type of response ...

Re: weird toggle switch question

The toggle moves connectors at the other end of it to join the contacts.

Imagine the lever being extended into the body of the switch and the way around it is becomes very intuitive. Imagine how hard it would be (physically) to do it the other way.
