I'm really on the hunt for a non ota comp and I want to build this one correctly. So, the 2w10 diode bridge has a max Vf of 1.1v, could I just sub that with rectifier diodes? Or do I just need to pony up and order one? I know what a bridge does and is I'm just curious if the diode type matter as much.

Dont get upset if I'm wrong but I think it was a bc108b in mine or maybe a 2n2222. I had it a while back and never messed with it because it sounded pretty good as it was.

Thats good to know. I always hook up the 2n7000 up the wrong way, glad to know that it sounds the same in this one no matter how I do it. Regarding the pedal, I am 99% sure that this is another pedal based on the Big Muff maybe black Russian, with some mods. I'd argue it's definitely not a big muff. No clipping diodes. Q4 and Q5 are connected together. Parts count is way too low. That's why I said maybe Tone Bender-esque, not a muff ...

Those would be styroflex (polystyrene) they are generally used for the smaller value caps but I've seen them up to 100nf.
