Re: Bass tube amp not loud enough

IT could be layout, it could be filament transformers,.. If it's modeled after and SVT, then the wiring layout is crucial. One misplaced wire and it will oscillate above hearing level and the amp will sound dull, and have no power. Absolute proper bias of an SVT is ridiculously important. IF your am...

Re: GONICH - a simple (Arduino) digital pedal switcher!

With the addition of another shift register, I think you need to extend the bit count.

instead of 8 bits, I think you may need 16 bits? i.e. 00000000 00000001 something like that.

I could be wrong.

I'm willing to bet a CA3080 is the can opamp. Or the rusky counterpart.

Yep!

I had the pro tube IV, but it had problems before I knew how to fix it.

The tube preamp section was balls out nuts though. =)

Re: Warwick Jonas Hellborg preamp

I DO have the other Warwick bass amp schematics.

Theres one that actually has a micro controller in it too. Something that now I kinda understand since I've been learning about micro controllers. :)

Re: Warwick Jonas Hellborg preamp

Well, I am waiting to see what I can get. =) Looking at the photo I can find, Yeah, Bass and treble I suspect are Baxandall But NOT discrete. I say opamp driven. As well as the preamp / gain stage. I also bet the midrange and mic in transformers are Sowter. The DI out transformer I have seen before ...

I'll give it a shot. Never really did finish these anyways.

I wonder if a higher capacitance would work too, like 10pf or 100pf

You can put a variable filter in the tone control section, like EBS Octabass or the Aguilar Octamizer. :)
