Re: Where to order decent pcb's in europe?

Sprint Layout is able to create PCB files from scanned images of other pcb layouts.

Re: Freekish Blues- Alpha Drive

That is way more than a coincidental resemblance between the two. The routing is different on a few traces which would imply some revisions made between the batches of PCB's.

Re: Looking for two grey Hammerite 1950BB cases.

It's easier and probably cheaper just to buy a couple enclosures from the usual sources and paint them yourself. You can buy hammerite paint at pretty much any hardware store. Even Wal-Mart carries it. I find the Tremclad kind better than the others. Apply to bare aluminum without primer for best re...

Re: design spark - another freeware util

Being a Windows only program is real drag. It will run through Wine in Linux though.
It seems like a really great program. I like it and see lots of potential in it.
Design Spark is made by the parent company of Allied Electronics.

Re: Spaceman - Gemini III

I've seen tutorials on how to etch double-sided layouts. I don't have the patience for it, but apparently it's not terribly difficult. I think the trick is to pre-drill some guide holes and then line up the layouts on both sides. It's really not as hard as it seems. I've done a few of them recently...

Re: best deals on 3pdts and enclosures?

Another vote for 4site. I haven't found a vendor yet that has cheaper enclosures. I believe Mammoth is a division of theirs. I've bought 3PDT's from Bob Pan (Yueqing Fengxing Electric Factory) several times without any issues. I placed an order this week for 110 more from him. Apparently they only ...

Supernatural . Check out the descriptions of the controls in the instructions. :hmmm: Volume Controls the output level of the pedal. Tone 1 This is the main bass to treble tone control. Tone 2 This control is used to compliment the setting of Tone 1. I use it to shave off the treble just a little, ...

Re: Germanium Transistors

I've tried a few different kinds of Russian germaniums. As usual with them there is next to no leakage for almost all of them. Here are the gain ranges I've measured with them as per R.G.'s method. MP21 - 30-50 hfe. Most in the high 30's low 40's. MP21A 50-80 hfe. Most in the 60's to 70's. GT108G 11...

I went to check out the demo of it on Youtube and PGS had a gutshot in the demo.
Here's a screencap of it. I see it has DBA's trademark sloppy layout and soldering.

Re: Really large / custom enclosure (W=20")

Have you tried Road Rage Pro Gear? They are also located in Ontario. They sell enclosures and kits for switchboxes. The enclosure they use in this kit is 21" x 2 3/8" x 2 3/4". Any local machine or metal working shop should be able to bend up what you need for a few dollars. The shop ...
