Don't post in this forum asking is there is a schematic or layout or info on XXX pedal.
There is a subforum setup for requests already. It is located here:
REQUESTS FORUM
Any requests posted here will be moved to proper sub forum, and I'll also make nasty remarks about your mother.
also, if you have a problem with your build, post it in the WORKBENCH. these threads are for circuit analysis only. by all means, if you discover something we should...
I haven't seen this one here already, so I gave it a trace both for personal fun and curiosity:

Some values aren't there because they weren't marked on the silkscreen like the others, and I'm not going to pull them out to check. You get the gist of it though: they basically doubled up most caps with another one in parallel. The tone stack is a flatter variant. The bass boost literally mixes some lowpassed signal with the tone stack output. The parallel dry blend is done in a...
I have a green box MXR 118 Analogue delay that i have brought back from the dead and am trying to align but cannot find the alignment procedures for clock frequency and location of trim pots anywhere...
It is the SAD1024 version with 118-3001 102 board.
I have found a couple of alignment sheets on here but they are for the PT2399 modded version and refer to trim at point A with no reference to what point A is.
New Joyo fuzz that I just got from Amazon. It’s definitely a big muff clone of some sort. Someone on Reddit said it was a Swollen Pickle clone and I don’t hear that at all. Probably just taking that from the name. I had the original three knob Swollen Pickle and it was literally the most bassy and scooped pedal I've ever used. 100% unusable in a band setting, my guitar was gone the second I stepped on it. This Joyo has good midrange content and tons of gain. Sounds like a rams head or triangle...
Had a quick look inside this one the other evening.
Light wasn't great for photos and I didn't do a full tracing.
Components match VERSION 9 NYC REISSUE BIG MUFF PI . First version with 3003 PCB. NPN transistors
on this page
Most of the component references match up with the Kit Rae schematic too.
Resistors are SMD.
All caps are full size, no SMD caps.
All transistors are full size 2N5088.
Clipping diodes are 1N6263
All pots are B100k.

IMO a really good sounding distortion with a pretty good range of settings.
Heavy metal housing, good mechanical and electrical workmanship.

A few years ago I made this MXR Distortion Plus PCB clone and now I have reworked it using SprintLayout 6.0 .

Hey lovers of the deep tone,
attached you can find my attempt to trace this big tank.
It's my second attempt to trace a pedal so please be kind. I used a continuity tester and the magnifying glass app with the flashlight of my cell phone to get it done. The schematic is made with Kicad.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge in electronics. I don't now exactly which component is part of a feedback loop and which is a high pass etc or (and) especially for this pedal which component is...
I think we all pretty much know what this is, but as I have one sitting here, I thought I'd take a few shots.
Outside.JPG
Outside is actually a really nice gold finish. Not at all cream, the way it looks on the website

I've seen this somewhere before... Not great soldering on the wires. I might have to beef that up.

All of the pots that control EQ are 100Kb. I'll get some better pictures up once I get home.
Anybody has one EH double muff? I use my 2 transistor Muff fuzz clone a lot, so it seemed like a good idea trying this double muff thing and cascade 2 of them. I did just that, 2 transistor muff fuzz without any added circuitry, just to see what happens, but had issue and started wondering:
-Does the double muff use transistors or opamp?
-Does it has any added parts (circuitry) or is it just the 2 muffs?
The issue I'm having is that at maximun volume settings for the first muff, it becames too...
Hi there. I recently bought a Dr J (Joyo) Emerald Overdrive pedal. They are going quite cheap on Amazon. I can't tell quite what sort of pedal it is. It has a Mosfet / Diode clipping option switch, an independent boost that can be run before or after the overdrive, and the main overdrive circuit has vol / tone / drive pots. I've seen various different accounts suggesting it's a bit like a Vox in a Box, or like a Fulldrive II, or like a modified TS, and some suggestions that it's like a BJFe /...
I always liked the original Univox Unidrive; I once had one in for some TLC and since then I tried to make a good sounding clone. But all just didn't give the same vibe as the original.
Jump to this Danelectro. I love this pedal! It brings me back to the time I played with that vintage pedal and does sound alike
I traced the unit; here's the schematic

Enjoy! More pics on my blog; check the link in the sig!
Hi, I get this Italian amplifier that need some attentions :-) !
Overall it's working and the sound this is producing is pretty good
Volumes pot need to be replaced because need to get retentions after 50 years of service...
I traced the EQ circuit (see pictures)
Unfortunately I have lots od 100K pots but no-one 47K
Can you pls
1) have a check on my retro engeneering and spot me any mistake / adjustment
2) switching the 47K pots for 100K pots which parts should be replaced ?
I didn't see another thread about this one, so posting it here.
I picked up a new 2024 MXR YJM308 Overdrive yesterday and in the process of reverse-engineering it.
Many people speculated would just be based on the Fender unit or DOD YJM308, but this appears to be unique with through hole parts on top and SMD on the bottom!!
Still working on the BOM and need to confirm the SMD components, but here is a DRAFT BOM.
How does it sound....good. The original DOD308 I liked, but has a lot of bottom....
I saw some speculation that the Caline White Heat was a DOD Overdrive Preamp 250, so I found a schematic and compared it to the circuit board, but it I see no potential for it to be a DOD 250, most especially because there is only one diode on the entire circuit board. All of the schematics I've looked at to date involved at least two diodes for clipping, and another one or two in the power supply section. In this pedal it looks like the one and only diode is in power supply section. I'm hoping...
I had this done a while back. This was the mod that was intended to make the Deluxe model sound more like the original Electric Mistress. This was done to my 1990s V4 electric mistress. He removed C3 and C20, and put a .0033uF cap between the points connected with the red line (see attached image). As far as I can tell those were the only changes.
What was the effect? The sweep sounded a bit more airy and whooshy. Kind of neat, if you care.
The schematic for the V5 version (with the wall...
I have been wanting to do this for decades.... Make a pedal that has the Rockman Distortion sound. The chorus and echo would be other pedals.
I would like to collaborate with those willing to on this forum in creating a circuit that can be used in a pedal format.
The compression and fixed EQ sections seem to have the greatest influence on how 'that' sound is produced. The pedal version would have controls for gain, level and perhaps some EQ tweaking control. A foot switch for Edge / Dist...
