Don't post in this forum asking is there is a schematic or layout or info on XXX pedal.
There is a subforum setup for requests already. It is located here:
REQUESTS FORUM
Any requests posted here will be moved to proper sub forum, and I'll also make nasty remarks about your mother.
also, if you have a problem with your build, post it in the WORKBENCH. these threads are for circuit analysis only. by all means, if you discover something we should...
For component values I cannot make confirmations as all is on quick notes and some scans made over a year ago. As for the schematic I could check and re-check for possible errors. However, whatever I will do, AG will pick out a few more. Let's say I'm lazy and will just wait
Anybody have a schematic for the Digitech PDS 8000? I have one that produces no effect and the infinite loop is locked on. I will at times get a digital squeal when the effect is engaged (and the infinite loop is too obviously) until I go back to bypass.
I recently received a broken Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive V2.
Since no actual schematic seems to be available I have tried to create one using Kicad.
Most capacitors are smd, were removed and measured with RLC meter.
The Cool Cat Fuzz V2 input buffer seems similar.
The FET clipping is not yet drawn properly, suggestions welcome.

I have one of those puppies in house Quick google scanning shows no schematic. Do we need one? I could try to do it. This one is not working, my friend left it to fix it by me (haha!).
Hello,
I know usual practice is use larger/double value caps in bass version pedals, but In this case I'm thinking to mod the CS-3 input buffer as hi-pass filter, copying the input circuit from MusicMan onboard preamp:
(the first 2n2 cap to ground is specific to MM pickup and will be omitted)
Hi! I've picked this one up used, and it's an older, not status LED model. Sounds decent, and a good range of speeds available. Anyone saw a schematic for it, or should we try and trace?
Apparently it is a Klon, haven't been able to test it properly, because it whines so hard the signal is indiscernible, both when active and when in bypass (true bypass?).
I did open it up yesterday evening, but did not take pictures, will do that tonight.
It's got two TL072's (SMT, like most of the components) and a 7660, IIRC. Might just get rid of the 7660 and use a higher voltage wallwart.
Anyone else have issues with theirs? Would think that these pedals are more popular than they are...
I think we all pretty much know what this is, but as I have one sitting here, I thought I'd take a few shots.

Outside is actually a really nice gold finish. Not at all cream, the way it looks on the website

I've seen this somewhere before... Not great soldering on the wires. I might have to beef that up.

All of the pots that control EQ are 100Kb. I'll get some better pictures up once I get home.
Ok I got a RACK VERSION of a rev1 chandler tube driver...BUT...this has been modified by the previous owner
He's an acoustic guitar master and used this ONLY as a preamp...so asked a tech to modify this to REMOVE any drive or distorte signal
I can provide gutshots of everything inside but its modified so the request is
ANYONE HAS a PCB LAYOUT/PHOTO/ or actually a rack like the one I have...just Open it and give me some info
i cant really see any sign of mod (apart from some new resistor or...
I got this in for repair, and took the opportunity to trace it. This is a multipurpose effect: buffer/line driver, clean boost, and the interesting part is a tone control that works by varying the input impedance. It's aimed at pedal steel guitarists, whose instruments seldom have a tone control and often no volume control. Instead, most steelers use a volume pedal and adjust their tone with the amp tone controls. This effect provides a handy tone control and boost in one enclosure. The clip on...
Hi there. I recently bought a Dr J (Joyo) Emerald Overdrive pedal. They are going quite cheap on Amazon. I can't tell quite what sort of pedal it is. It has a Mosfet / Diode clipping option switch, an independent boost that can be run before or after the overdrive, and the main overdrive circuit has vol / tone / drive pots. I've seen various different accounts suggesting it's a bit like a Vox in a Box, or like a Fulldrive II, or like a modified TS, and some suggestions that it's like a BJFe /...
HELLO guys, I'm pulling another Dallas Rangemaster and I have a question, does the 10ka boost potentiometer have to be fully open or closed to get the -7.0 on the collector?
thanks
Hi everyone! I had the chance to get my hands on the MXR Doubleshot for a little while, and found out there are no available schematics anywhere. It's nice to do some selfless circuit tracing once in a while, in the true spirit of FSB.
Starting from what was known already, the Doubleshot is usually described as the dual channel version of the Dime, and we'll see this is accurate. That circuit already has something interesting in its own right, but this one builds upon it with the...
I got one in as it was cutting out while gigging. The IC socket was really loose and I could almost let the IC fall out of the socket. I added a new socket and now the unit functions again like it should.

I haven't seen this one here already, so I gave it a trace both for personal fun and curiosity:

Some values aren't there because they weren't marked on the silkscreen like the others, and I'm not going to pull them out to check. You get the gist of it though: they basically doubled up most caps with another one in parallel. The tone stack is a flatter variant. The bass boost literally mixes some lowpassed signal with the tone stack output. The parallel dry blend is done in a...
I have a green box MXR 118 Analogue delay that i have brought back from the dead and am trying to align but cannot find the alignment procedures for clock frequency and location of trim pots anywhere...
It is the SAD1024 version with 118-3001 102 board.
I have found a couple of alignment sheets on here but they are for the PT2399 modded version and refer to trim at point A with no reference to what point A is.
New Joyo fuzz that I just got from Amazon. It’s definitely a big muff clone of some sort. Someone on Reddit said it was a Swollen Pickle clone and I don’t hear that at all. Probably just taking that from the name. I had the original three knob Swollen Pickle and it was literally the most bassy and scooped pedal I've ever used. 100% unusable in a band setting, my guitar was gone the second I stepped on it. This Joyo has good midrange content and tons of gain. Sounds like a rams head or triangle...
