As I am an avid cloner myself, I thought that it's my time to give something to the DIY community. I got ahold of the effect mentioned in the title and I am providing some gut shots, also a list with components. Capacitor values on the list have ? due to my lack of experience with SMD components. Where there is no indication on the list will be completed tomorrow then I'll get a magnifying glass. All other info from the list are markings on the components (mostly SMD).

I own since ages this Dunlop CBM95 Mini Crybaby, which I love it as it is super compact and space friendly.
Lately I opened it to apply few mods (beside the 3DPT switch with bypass status LED which I already did years ago).
I didn't really trace the circuit, but from the components and values I saw, I think the schematic is the same one as the Crybaby CB95 with the input buffer and MPSA18 transistor.

I read somewhere that this was a bd-2 clone or variant. Looks and sounds like a modded blues breaker with more distortion. There’s alot of gain in tap. I was suprised to see the two trim pots when I opened it up. Suprised they went through the trouble of sending the ic as well. Not sure if I’m gonna keep it or not As I don’t really need it and definitely doesn’t sound like a bd2 to me. Atleast not one I’ve played.

It is a good sounding mild overdrive to push a tube amp.

Here's more informations about this little cheap, simple but really good sounding pedal : the MUFF Overdrive EH Nano.
I traced the schematic from the double-sided PCB. There is no SMD components in the unit (2011) :
This is the direct descendant of the 1969 MUFF-FUZZ, with the exception of C5 and C6, which were 0µ1 at that time, and of course the RF filters, which didn't existed. The MUFF Overdrive sounds even more mellow for these reasons.
So, a couple of years ago I was watching videos and came across the Russian Spektr-3 Fuzz, Wah, Autowah unit and thought the fuzz part sounded pretty good.
Some time later I saw some demos on YouTube of just the Fuzz section that Soviet Guitar Effects has made and sells for the mere lowly pittance of AU$572.80¢…so I decided to get the schematic, manual, and extract the circuit myself and, naturally, give it away for free on FSB. :D

I have the old 2 channel plexitone but the lack of volume and tone controls meant I stopped using it for years. I just got a CM Greg Howe Lick Box which seems like a version of the old Plexitone but with individual volume and tone controls per channel.
However, a major problem is the switching. On the Plexitone there was a select button in the middle which allowed you to toggle between the Crunch and High Gain channels. On the Lick Box, you can select all or any channels, so to switch...

A friend lent me this pedal, I wanted to see what it was.
Basically a rat with input buffer and two separate controls for dry and wet volume, and probably an extra output boost too (that I didn't trace).
The most interesting part was the gain/frequency resistor and capacitor (330 ohm and 6µ8, to save you some time) but what took me a really long time is what looks to me as a very elaborate clipping switch and volume control for LED clipping (controlled by the internal trimpot, described by...

All of the pots that control EQ are 100Kb. I'll get some better pictures up once I get home.
Just got my VH4 pedal today. Pretty cool idea getting that CH3 VH4 tone from a pedal. Definitely a lot of chunk to say its solid state.
I use it in a preamp config blended with a boogie Tri-axis with custom 5 band eq i built into a boogie 2:90 power amp so vh4 is coming out
of one side of my cab and TA out of the other so its blended in stereo etc....
Not sure if its worth what it is from thomann. Yeah the sound is cool and works well to the power amp but the build quality isn't really there...
Here is the first draft of the schematic. This is the Japanese version that comes with the orange battery cover. My son in law has the version made in Sri Lanka but, this Japanese one sounds better. I prefer this pedal on my guitars with humbuckers. It does for hummers what a Tube Screamer does for single coils.
HELP!!!! I have been given an amazing 90s George Dennis Vol/Distortion pedal. It's a GD100 Wizard Rock ( Not the Wizard Blues ). A beast in both tone and size.
The Dist circuit is a high gain (yet quiet) 90s distortion with warmth/depth and a great 'character'. I would love to be able to get the DIST pedal in a small box on its own, but I don't know what it's based on. Or at least a schematic so that I can build my own. As I said, just the Dist/Gain circuit - no volume. Anybody familiar with it?
