Don't post in this forum asking is there is a schematic or layout or info on XXX pedal.
There is a subforum setup for requests already. It is located here:
REQUESTS FORUM
Any requests posted here will be moved to proper sub forum, and I'll also make nasty remarks about your mother.
also, if you have a problem with your build, post it in the WORKBENCH. these threads are for circuit analysis only. by all means, if you discover something we should...
Morecowbell, thanks for those great links you posted, but if they are all avaible from one location, it's better to just post that one link. If people are interested in discussion about this or that box, that can become a separate thread.
They are all in the $59-159 price range! Anybody has more info on this brand, we're still waiting for the english version of the website..
Hello all just worked on a Doctor Q and got it running and ran into a rather weird deal with the circuit. I noticed when I use just the pedal by itself the “quack” doesn’t begin to occur until 10-11 o clock and even then you gotta attack the strings pretty hard. Seems as if the circuit wasn’t being driven hard enough for the range to do much as far as having a versatile range. Sure enough when I switch on the Alembic booster on my strat the effect seems to quack with ease at 10-11 o clock where...
This one has escaped the forums and layout sites. Switchable 4/6/10 stages, the feedback control is minimum at noon, one direction adds fb out of phase, the other in.
gut shot here:
Hi everyone! I had the chance to get my hands on the MXR Doubleshot for a little while, and found out there are no available schematics anywhere. It's nice to do some selfless circuit tracing once in a while, in the true spirit of FSB.
Starting from what was known already, the Doubleshot is usually described as the dual channel version of the Dime, and we'll see this is accurate. That circuit already has something interesting in its own right, but this one builds upon it with the...
Hmm. Caline catalog is becoming quite puzzling one. These two here. Same f*king circuit. Paul Cochrane Timmy. 4558D, no switch for clipping, just the four 4148s for both. Highway Man has linear and log pots for bass/treble and Pure Sky has them at C50K. Pure Sky has designation screen prints under the components, but just by looking at the boards, component values and topology, i can safely say the circuits are identical.
Why on earth would anyone release two differently named pedals that have...
Hey, I need to synchronize my looper to perform a couple of our band's songs live but all production solutions are too exprensive and give me too many options I don't need (currently). We don't use computers or synths I only need to sync drummer's metronome and my looper. We tried with the drummer having me on headphones but my loops often don't have pronounced rhythm and I easily overwhelm them (and I could get very noisy  ).
First idea is to send click from looper's rhythm machine to...
I have this one old photo of Barge Concepts VBjr. This was their base model variable blender, without phase inversion or expression pedal features.
Two Burr Brown OPA2134 opamps, mica capacitors, axial electrolytic and tantalum capacitors.
Here's one interesting schematic for those who like to connect the pedals in serial or parallel connections.
In my opinion, routing signals in a serial mode has a disadvantage because the signal after the loop A is
divided into two way, loop B and crossfade pot, means not purely routing Loop A and Loop B
(potentiometer crossfade is in parallel with the loop B).
I need to get a pedal tomorrow for a reversing contribution. I have only a couple of choices so I want to ask everyone which of them they would prefer reversed.
Now here's the story, I bought a Boss BD2 today as I was under the impression it was a great blues pedal and as i've been working on a few of my own designs I thought it would be a good pedal to keep as a base for reference sounds in the blues genre. To be honest I find it a pretty naff effect so I'm taking it back to the shop...
Hey lovers of the deep tone,
attached you can find my attempt to trace this big tank.
It's my second attempt to trace a pedal so please be kind. I used a continuity tester and the magnifying glass app with the flashlight of my cell phone to get it done. The schematic is made with Kicad.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge in electronics. I don't now exactly which component is part of a feedback loop and which is a high pass etc or (and) especially for this pedal which component is...
HI,
I'm new. I have problems with the Ibanez AD 190 Time Machine.
I was given one but it doesn't work and I'm desperately looking for a schematic that I can't find. The machine turns on but doesn't make any sound, furthermore two jacks have probably been replaced and I have no idea how the originals fared as these are completely different.
I thank you in advance.
Diego.
I've traced this little clip-on piezo preamplifier for fun. Seems like a simple yet nice design (aside from those ridiculous electrolytic coupling capacitors a bit everywhere and the wimpy decoupling, which should be fine for battery power). I haven't seen many acoustic guitar preamp schematics around, hope this gives a nice starting point to diy builders.

Basically 10M JFET input buffer into inverting amplifier into active baxandall.
This is obviously based on the Single Channel Carl Martin Plexitone.
I really like the sound of this pedal. It's got that Bright-Channel Plexi character and a lot of gain.
If you're after a pedal that will help you get an EVH brown sound, you could do a lot worse than trying this one.
At less than £20 new, you can't go wrong.
I can't find a schematic of the Single Channel Plexitone - I wonder how close the Plexi-m is to it.
It would be interesting to see a schematic of the CM Panama to compare...
You can really get some whacky sounds out of it just by tweaking the internal trim pots. What I want to do to it though is just a little beyond me, but probably easy concept to more experienced tweakers. First off, I want to add some sort of wet/ dry blend control. The volume goes up noticeably when I've got the controls all whacky, not to mention the delayed signal can make the original note indistinguishable.
And Second, I want to mount this blend control, plus controls for the internal...
I just got my harley benton power attenuator, it comes with a very confusing manual so I opened it up. Can anybody confirm that this thing can run without a cabinet attached while still using line-out?
It would have been a good deal at 10.00 but the postage got it close to 30.00
Still I've always liked the Rat's , not a connoisseur of rats , though while they are not subtle
I do like the evenness of the distortion , this one sounds o.k. to me. Diode switch for leds which
light on the top a couple marked 1N60 and three
4148 socket for the I.C. no smd , Did they rip off rat directly?
Found this gut shot online. I believe this is the first version red one. I just purchased the 3rd version for 50 and certainly not bad for the money. However I opened mine up and the guys weren’t exposed. Didn’t feel like taking it apart. Wonder what’s hiding under that goo.
I miss the company. I’ve just purchased this thing and really have no idea how to use it lol. Seems like the left foot switch is going bad as well. Remember having his blender and comp and like both of those. A good bit of flux in there.
