I know there's already a couple threads about this pedal and the classic distortion but I'm looking for a mod to this pedal to add some more drive. I'm not looking for something to play death metal or anything like that....just a little heavier distortion than it offers stock. Any suggestions? Thanks!

D3, D4: 1N914? 1N4148? (I assume D2 is the power LED)

How does one ascertain which trimpots to tweak? The PDS1700 Chorus Flanger has 4 and I would like to try and get it sounding a little wackier and figured trimpots could be the go
Pesocaster unexpectedly came through and emailed me the schem today, so I get to finally contribute something! For your viewing and possibly layout-making pleasure, the factory schematic for the 903:

And in case you don't have the Real Tube schematic for direct comparison here's that:
sorry if this is posted in wrong place......looks wery interesing (to me)....

Hi Folks, I've just signed up this very day.. aaah...
In at the deep end, then. My speciality is repairing vintage keyboards but I do like nice pedals and have repaired the odd one or two.
My current problem piece is my cheap'n'cheerful ebay Microsynth. It's the early version with built-in mains transformer and I really need a suitable schematic for it. The ones available on the net are appropriate for the later/current version and there are so many differences that it's not really helping...
I recently stumbled upon this which looks interesting, does anyone have one or know how this works or have a layout? If it were any good I'd probably fit one in my guitar to save space on the pedal board.
I just nabbed one of those NOS units on fleabay. Is the re-issue board also feature the goop 'module'? I haven't been able to find any pics of the inside of the re-issues. No biggie, just curious. I'll post pics when it gets here if anyone needs it, but I'm pretty sure this one's been laid bare by now. Creepy Brad builds a mean Scrambler clone.
Another soundtank of which the circuit diagram still seems to be absent of the surface of the planet. Not anymore. :D
When starting the reversal process I more or less expected to see some resemblance to the classic envelope filters like the AFL, AF9 or older. Not exactly the case up to the point where I could copy/paste the whole filter section of the 2nd generation WH10 wah into the circuit again. Funny since the designers of this box also used that same filter in the CD5 Cyberdrive.
Vox Wahs suddenly took a price tumble in Australia, and I decided to buy 3 of them to modify for myself and friends.
I'm probably the only one here who didn't realise that the price reduction came as a consequence of the fact that Vox now have the V847(A) made in China... different design, and mainly SMD components.
Firstly to quality control. Of the 3 I bought, one had the name label attached upside down, one didn't function at all, and one was OK... not a very good start.
I ordered the tonepad pcb's for this and now in the process of ordering the remaining parts. Can anyone recommend a capacitor type that is commonly used here? I see a lot of folks using the square box types but I haven't been able to locate those. They may not even be a good fit for this particular build.
Also, is it worth paying the high price for a NOS MN3007 chip or will the new production cheap ones work just as well?
Here is the rare Vox V491 Valve effects loop buffer. It is a tube effects loop buffer, I used it with the passive effects loop of my Soldano SLO 100 and Krank Revolution, many people (i have read) also use it in front of the amp with their pedals or PODs in the loop, no documentation available so the intended use is questionable though Id lean toward my application.
Released in the early 1990's and quickly discontinued, see if you can find any info on this one! :P
Not really working (bought used), but still trying some repairing: I want to tame her... I think an adapted PCB can be found somewhere (geofex?), but I thought this might be a good place to post these pictures (forn porn addicts)...
