I have a Setup running a British Sound into the Joyo D-seed Delay (Mono Version). I am not running an amp and recording direct into my DAW.

I have discovered that the D-Seed is not happy with the drive level out of the JF-16 and is randomly distorting... which is quite annoying...

Just found one of these for very cheap so I gave it a go, also to understand why everybody talks bad about this one.
Actually I like it, it has its own caracter and voicing (kind of a woody tone). But I understand why people may complain about the fizziness. Strange noboy yet opened a thread about this one, so here we go!

Generally I'm impressed with the cheap TC Electronics line of basic pedals: they cover the basics, are extremely affordable and are built like a tank. With the Eyemaster HM-2 clone however, they decided (in all their wisdom) to only make the Gain and Level pots available, which makes it less than useless. So I set out to mod them to make them more useful. I propose two possible mods:

* Add a HI pot, with a focused range around the max, or:

I have a Daphon E20CH Chorus pedal which came to me in a broken state, though was an easy fix, and now I'm wondering if I can give it some improvements to make it as quiet as possible and maximise its performance.

There are all kinds of DS-1 mods out there and some are better than others. I've tried several and replaced all caps, the IC, etc...but it always falls short because of the overcompressed sound that plagues Boss distortion and OD pedals. I got an HM-3 dirt cheap a few years ago to use as a complement to my HM-2, but I always found it really hard to dial in. It's just got way too much top end sizzle regardless of where i set the EQ knobs, and there's not enough mids. So the other day I decided to try and turn the EQ section into HM-2 specs, and although it does sound a lot better now, I'm not quite there.

So I acquired an EHX knockout attack EQ with the idea that I could mod it into a multiband distortion. As you can see from the schematic , the thing is a couple of filter networks that can be blended with the dry signal.

My thought was to drop in clipping diodes at the bases of Q1 and Q2, thus keeping the clippers isolated to each band. Problem is, the AC voltage at that point is SUPER low (~100mV on the high and clean channel on my humbuckers if I really spank the strings, more like ~300mV on...

A musician has asked me to increase the output level of the chorus a little bit.

To do this, search for resistance R19 (10 k) and shrunk it down to desire (smaller = more output level)

I decided to solder a trimm pot (25K) on the back side of the pcb parallel to the existing R19, now you can set the output for your choice.

Hi folks, long time lurker, first time poster here. I've got a Guyatone VT-2 on my bench here which is working fine (and is a lovely little pedal - all through hole with space for a battery - wild!) I just modded my Boss MT-2 Metalzone to the Diezel Mod specs, but I keep seeing 2 different values for C42 cap posted in various posts online.

The posted values are either:

C42 - 0.1uf

or

C42 - 1uf

Which one is correct? I currently have .1uf in the pedal. If I change it to 1uf, how will it change the sound?

So i bought this pedal (which is based on a Tech 21 British), and has this cab sim that i personally dislike. Is there any schematic or layout for this pedal so i can bypass the cab sim?

There are two tl064, V1000, CS5340, 4558, atmega8, and some little 10 pin IC that I can't be identify maked with 345C.

I cant seem to find a clear consensus on the Bass Contour mod.

I believe that a capacitor in parallel with c6 would add some perceived bass frequencies. This seems simple enough but how should I go about this.
