Has anyone modded the GDI-21?
I think I'd like to add a mid control to it, True bypass, and fix the darn squealies the thing makes with EMG pickups.

I'm also considering using them as building blocks to build a 4 channel preamp.
I have a Tech 21 tri-ac that I love, and the Behringer GMX amp as a backup.
The gmx looks like two GDI-21 with a different input configuration on the jack.
The GDI just sounds like crap against the other two.

first of all I may be posting in the wrong section, so mods, feel free to move the thread wherever it should be.

So I've read here and there about DemonFX and how they might be copying the cosmetics of famous pedals but not necessarily their schematics. That seems a bit silly and I don't see what they would gain from only doing half of the job.
Also I have read on Reddit someone said that Josh @JHS had (reportedly) had a look at the AT-DS and said it was not the same as their AT+ and...

Anybody ever mod an Arion Stereo Flanger? I could use any help I can get as all I can do is switch out parts, no real technical knowledge at this point. But I do like to take the stuff apart and put it back together, especially when it sounds so much better after changing a couple of parts. Anyway if anybody can give me some info thanks very much.

he function of D14-15 is pretty unclear to me, they don't add clipping nor affect the volume or tone, so I just keep them in. D11-12 have the biggest effect on the distortion, you really hear the difference when you use a LED or silicon/germanium diode here. D8-9 have the least effect, I mean, you do hear the difference, but it doesn't really change the overall tone, the effect blends in with D11-12.

Hey all, I'm new to the modding game and slowly getting my head around schematics and such. As I understand it, the DF-2 pretty much has the same distortion circuit as the DS-1, though given it's fitted alongside the feedbacker, the schematic to an amature is decidedly more difficult to figure out. Now, following it I can kind of see how the distortion's the same, but I'm not so sure on how to perform DS-1 mods on it without possibly bricking the whole thing.

Mostly I like the big fuzzy mods...

I have a cheap rat clone and i'm quite happy with the tone as it when using it with my guitar on 10. ALL my guitars have treble bleeds and when i roll off the volume for clean tones which my amp does quite well, it's cleans up nicely and gets nice and chimey. But not with the RAT. Had the same issue with original RATs and ones i have built. The tone gets dull like you turned your tone control too far down. I have tried every setting possible on the amp and pedal but it's just one of those...

I've bought a cheap Belcat PHS-605 Phaser and it arrived some days ago. The build quality and sound is okay for 34 bucks, A bit too much flux is the only thing to complain about. I really dig the sweet graphic design and clear knobs.
It didn't work at first so I opened the housing and found a trim pot. It turned out that it wasn't set by the manufacturer at all.
I setted it by ear. A little tricky, but it worked for me. I used the Rate ​​in the middle and depth all the way up...

I´m not quite sure if a 49€-pedal qualifies as cheap, but to me it does.
I acquired a Nobels PRE-1 for 30€ used and I figured I´d do a few things to it. It´s built rather sturdy.
As a starter: how do I change the frequencies of the treble and bass bands.
Can anyone explain what the circuit is called and how to calculate the values for different frequencies? The manual states 25Hz and 10kHz.
What type of EQ is this anyway? Shelving?

A musician has asked me to increase the output level of the chorus a little bit.

To do this, search for resistance R19 (10 k) and shrunk it down to desire (smaller = more output level)

I decided to solder a trimm pot (25K) on the back side of the pcb parallel to the existing R19, now you can set the output for your choice.

A relatively simple modification - have fun.

I bought this cheap house brick of a pedal about a year ago and i love the tones you get out of it but theres a huge volume drop when its engaged , so i was wondering if i could remedy this some how , all the resistors look like tiny surface mounted ones to me but i was thinking maybe i could add a small boost circuit as theres plenty of room inside the casing ,
I really new to pedal modding so im just looking for feedback/ideas on the subject , i can add photos if you like.

Here's another cheap flanger to monkey with. Through hole construction, attractive mauve plastic potato bug enclosure, 3 trimmers on the board, what's not to love for a $20 flanger?

Obviously I'm going to play with the trimmers. DUH. But what else can we do with this thing? What is it based on?

NOTE:
The board is pretty brittle. I chipped off a part of it (you can see in the photos) and will have to scrape away the green and run jumper wire. This happened because those knobs are ON...

I have a Setup running a British Sound into the Joyo D-seed Delay (Mono Version). I am not running an amp and recording direct into my DAW.

With the Eyemaster HM-2 clone however, they decided (in all their wisdom) to only make the Gain and Level pots available, which makes it less than useless.
