For a long time I've felt guilty that my pedal board didn't include a compressor. Finally, after about a year of breadboarding, I have produced a circuit that can take on a Dynacomp and win , boasting:

I put the Super Hard On inside a small 55x55x21 mm box and, not having the C5k, but also for reasons of limited available space, I would like to use one of the two very small pot of a Danelectro Rocky Road, one linear of 80kA and the other log of 80 kB. I’m looking for something like mesa boogie does for their pedals. Maybe use one of the companies that does metal biz cards? The thought is having universal cases for all products and use different metal covers for each product. This way I can gain flexibility by not having dedicated cases with silkscreens. A lot depends on the cost of the plate + case vs case + silkscreen. Also, those that use these, do you use rivets or glue or just count on the switch and pot nuts to secure the plate?
Thought you guys might be interested. Analog devices shows a 5V to +/-15V converter for the LT1930 on page 8 of their data sheet. I've been using it in pedals with a 9V input since 2014. It switches at 1.2 or 2.2 MHz depending on which part you use. Just be aware, if you sell commercially, it pushes you into the range where you need FCC approvals.
Some ppl on amazon keep griping about this pedals lack of proper wiring instruction, it is a beginner level tho and so for beginners a wiring traced diagram sometimes helps which is what i am sharing.
The branding is Landtone but amazon labels it as TTone for some reason, They also claim it is a professional analog circuit (¿) I put it all in the title hoping people googling it can find it using those key words. It comes from China & works well to my tone deaf ears.

I’m not a huge fan of the RAT, but I really like the circuit design and have built a few clones for people over time. I decided, however, that I’d build one for myself, incorporating all the basic modifications I know and adding a Blend knob as well. The result turned out quite nicely, and since I’ve been mainly playing bass lately, the Dry Blend seems to work great.

I'd like to mix teh signals of 2 double bass piezos that each require a very high (10Mohm) input impedance. I just sucessfully built a single bufffer based on a TL071 opamp (see 1st opamp buffer on page ).
I can easily built 2 of these buffers (using a TL072 opamp which is basically a double TL071) and mix the signals in my Behringer mixer, but I woudl like to have just 1 little box where I can mix the 2 signals.

I have built a fuzzface clone, with some variation of my licking.
The pedal sounds good for what i want but it behaves not as i expected.

I've been on a quest to make a distortion pedal that suits the instruments I have and my playing style and so far I like this one the most. I'd been playing with non-inverting soft clip type of circuits (e.g. Tube Screamer) and didn't hate them, but when I tried stacking a boost in front I got an unexpected result - instead of more saturation I got more clean blended in with the signal. That might work for some people but it's not what I was going for.
Nothing fancy here just an antilog amplifier. Inspiration came from here and of course the classic Tube Sound Fuzz from Electronic Projects for Musicians. I think the oct control needs a better name. I want to call it splat because that's what it sounds like to me.

I'm working on a quad pickup, which involves 4 single pole pickups for each string. Is there a way to improve the design by adding another magnet, side by side? I0,000 winds is almost at the limitation due to the size and material (3D print). I do have a working prototype using one magnet per string, with the added bonus of a buffer with a gain trimpot wired after. But I'm curious if adopting something from a humbucker design would help in anyway.

Hello. I wanted to create a preamp on field-effect transistors so that I could connect various overdrives and fuzzes to it.
It turned out something like this:
To get 30V I used a module on XL6009. For now, this is an intermediate version, because I plan to try it with a bass guitar and, perhaps, some other moments.
My first try at tracing a circuit and third layout.
The circuit has an input + buffered output and an xlr ofc.
Versatile as it can be powered 9-16VDC or by phantom power.
The layout is verified , as I built it a few hours ago and works perfectly !
