This is simple utility circuit that is intended for use in breadboarding. It saves time by providing two filtered connections to 9v (or 12v if that's your input voltage) and also provides a stable VREF. here is a little circuit that i was messing with the other day. it does a killer boost to a nice overdrive. it is a bit similar to some mic pre circuits out there, so you can kind of tell that it likes to stay clean, but the lack of caps in the signal path allow this to be done very well. if you get oscillation at the highest gain settings, just increase the 100 ohm resistor(R6) a bit to lower the max gain. i believe i used j309s for the FETs, a 2n5210 for the NPN, and a pn2907 for...

I have an Op Amp Buffer design that I build as the Coldcraft Micro Buffer. It's loosely based on that of the Klon, and I've had a few fabricated boards made before.

I'm considering doing a larger run and I'm wondering if there's any interest in these to be available. There's many more uses than just pedal buffers. Y Splitters, Buffered Output Volume Pedals, etc. It's endless. My design isn't rocket science, but it does sound good and runs on 9-18v.

Any interest? Not sure what the price would...

I was wondering what a circuit would look like if that circuit were to an AC or RC Boost what the Eternity is to a Tubescreamer.
This is what came out of that line of thought.

In the schematic, if the AC and RC use different values, the AC ones are listed first. Note that the AC also jumpers D3, D4, D5. The IC is originally a JRC 4557, but any dual opamp should work.

Hi, guys, let me show you one of my projects. I build this pedal before month ago.
As a start point I use amz mosfet booster, but I improve it a little.

I try different voltages from voltage divider: C3 and C4, including identical values, but in this case with max gain I have symmetrical clipping and I bring back the original values. Due to unsymmetrical clipping this pedal give even harmonics which is better and more musically ;)

Schemo Taken from Kit Rae website . Kit says it's his favorite muff right now. I was going to use those parts I like. So this was spaced to comfortable use of my big ceramic caps. I wanted to make it as tight as possible, and frankly - I don't think this can be done much more compact... I'm going to use .15 pinch paxolin vero and drawing this I had this type of stripboard in mind, but I think IC friendly vero will do here when using 1/4w CC's and other type of caps. I may move some parts here...

I was told this would be the correct place to put my first attempt at a vero layout. I'm looking for a second pair of eyes to tell me if you spot anything different from the schem, I think you all know the deal. :D The circuit I lay'd out is Dragonfly's Seven Knob Fuzz. Seemed like a good place to start as it's decently easy but more challenging than a simple boost. After I saw geekmcdaddy's completed SKF I just had to have one for myself. He did his on perf which I haven't experimented with...

Just did an improved board for the Foxx Tone Machine. I found that it wasn't too noisy (a common complaint with this circuit) with the parts as shown. The PCB layout works well, with no hint of instability (another common complaint with this pedal).

I've built three of them this weekend, and they all sound great. There are tiny differences between them, which I put down to transistor gains and component tolerances. However, the variation in sound isn't enough to make me start tweaking...

Since we can attach files to posts, I wonder if it might be beneficial for us to have a thread full of attached source files (like eagle CAD files, ExpressPCB files, etc.) so that users can tweak layouts easier to their own tastes. Any thoughts? It would also help I think with confusion on dpi print settings for layouts if we are printing within the appropriate programs instead of having to scale an image. Some file type threads could be:

A friend complained that his old plug-in Orange Squeezer was stolen at a gig. He said he sometimes liked the sound of the Squeezer into the Dan Armstrong Distortion box. As each circuit just needs one op-amp, I thought I'd make best use of a 4558, and build a squeezer on one side and a distorter on the other. I added level pots for both, and bypass switches, so you can bypass everything or use each effect alone or both together.
