Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

Anybody know where I can get protoboard in the UK ? Any amount sell vero/perf/tripad/experimenter board but ...
I'm looking for the type used in PaulC's Timmy (gutshots on the forum) - never used it before so I want to try a couple of OD/Fuzz builds with it. Paul gets a really tight build on his, inspired me to try it but no luck :(
Hey guys. Now that I put in my 5 posts over in the Testing section, I can post a pic. Love this site!! I've been lurking for a few months now and I'm learning a lot. I'm trying to find a footswitch like in the Big Muff Pi pictured. Either Latching or Momentary would be cool. I have some regular ones coming from Small Bear, but I'd like to have something different in my parts bin now that I'm building it up.
I'm trying to find a SPST momentary switch. It looks just like the DPDT
x-wing switch but with 3 pins. Can be pcb mount or solder terminals, i can deal with either one.
I'm looking for a switch like the one found on the Roland Dimension D unit. It is a series of 5 pushbutton switches which when you push one it pops up the one you had previously pushed. The action is like those mechanical preset switches on the old car radios (remember those?). Also the switches need to be DPDT. I'm not sure what the these type of switches are called so that may be why I haven't been able to find any.
well i have seen lots of people in this forum (and other forums also) saying that they don't like them
can anyone pleaz explain cause i'm about to order a bunch of them and if they suck i would like to get some nice alternatives with almost same size/volt ratings
Any chance we could have a sticky where members could contribute sources they have used and can recomend and also maybe add any special notes about the products offered?
Can anyone ID the maker of the small maroon cap that landgraff uses? It's a 51 or 56pf, looks like some kind of ceramic. I originally thought it was mica but the finish is different that most of the micas I've seen, which have a dipped plasticy finish. But all the ceramics I've seen are round. In the pic, the cap in question is below the chip and the the left of the big yellow 1uf.
Does anyone here have a source for those little green Alpha pots that are PC mounting? Is there a reason you folks may not like using them? I thought about standardizing my FX builds and that was the first idea I wanted to persue.I know that they'll get abused but if stabilized correctly why couldn't they survive? Doesn't Cusack use a board mounted pot? His gear seams roadworthy to say the least. TIA, NG
Hi
Does anyone have a good online source for slider potentiometers such as those used in Behringer mixers and JBL Eon mixers for examples.
Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated - ALPS and PANASONIC brands especially.
cheers

I have to say, after testing this opamp highly recommended by JHS, it does sound incredibly different than say a 4558 etc.
Much more....dare I say it.....Amp Like!
It certainly added some personality to The Crank which IMO was a very generic and sterile sounding circuit with a 5532 per the schematic.
Just wanted to say to those that have not tried this IC, give it a whirl.
JHS was right, it can make a difference.
I'm wanting to try some IC's in place of transistors in some fuzz i got goin on and i was hoping some of you guys might know what, if there is, dual transistor IC equivalents of:
2N3904
2N5089
2N2222
BC109C
???
kinda like the TO-116 MPQ3904 but only two transistors.
i couldnt find anything much online so i hope you can help.
thanks peoples!
Hi folks
Who has the cheapest supply of these :?: - i am interested in the full range and in particular the VTL5C9 and VTL5C10 types.
cheers

I am looking for a 5.8k resistor for the Hearthrob tremolo does anyone have a clue where I might locate one. I looked at small bear, mouser et. and no luck. Thanks
i have been taking apart an old transistor radio and scored a bunch of resistors, electrolytic caps, ceramic caps and also two C1674 R-2D4 transistors.
now i've been looking through some datasheets, but i can't seem to find much info on these.
only thing i could come up with is that rs electronics doesn't sell them anymore, but lists the NTE107 as a replacement.
I dunno about you guys but i use em in all my effects cause theY just seem to last for ever and are better than a heap of cords and adapters for me. So.........instead of buying AUD$4ea Duracell's i found a supplier of some excellent heavy duty batteries, 20 for AUD$15.30, they aren't alkaline but i've found heavy duty is just as good in fuzz and distortion, chorus etc is best with alkaline tho.
there the HI-WATT brand btw.
anyways, just happy i found some cheap 9volts cause the mark up on...
