Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

Hello everyone, I recently encountered a j201 deficit in my country, having studied the forums I found several models that other manufacturers use (mmbf4393 Catalibread and 2SK208 AMT) or recommend stores (PF5102 Smallbear).
I also found some more options in stores.
If someone used them, then tell us about your experience.
I use them to create amps in the box, in the style of fetzer, like JHS Superbold, Wampler Tweed 57 and many other manufacturers.
Here is my list of possible replacements:...
New to this and after researching a few clones i'ld like to build and now wondering where to source the parts, and thought i'ld find something in the forum (well maybe there is pages in) thought it would be a good idea to have a sticky post listing reliable / affordable suppliers in various regions.
if it exists already my apologies and please point me in the right direction
USA
- ships internationally
Europe
UK
- for more involved dedicated bits like specific...
Hi,
I bought a PCB for an overdrive. When I have the PCB fully loaded I want to be able to swamp out different transistors to see which ones measure and sound best. The transistors will be in TO-92 format. Does anyone make a solderless socket I can initially attach to the PCB to use to swap transistors? Then I'd remove the socket and solder the best ones in.
Thanks
Lee G.
One of my non-public favorite times of day in the fort is around 6 PM (in-sport time) while the placing sun crests over the looming fortress turrets 2K MT , and it casts a golden glow throughout the entirety of the gambling vicinity. The technology in the back of our visible enhancements within the City this yr are astounding, and this is one way you could without a doubt see that progress.
Taking the pathway from the City right and getting into the all-new Wildcats borough is this kind of...
Is it possible to emulate a lm13700 with 2 ca3080? I see schematics for lm13700 to ca3080 adapters but right now, it looks like ca3080 are available but lm13700 are not so I’d need the opposite.
Need to replace the Effect Out pot on this. I've never seen pots like these before. Anybody know who makes them or where to get them? PXL_20230423_194412548.jpg
Hello
Since high beta germaniums become so expensive Im searching for germanium transistors with low hfe and leakage. Do any of you know what russian models to search for??
Like like 1-10 hfe maybe at most 20
And 1-30ua leakage, the lower the better
Its for distortion pedals and the low leakage is the most critical since i use them in darlington configuration
I”’ve hade excellent results with af239 and a few other low leakage AFs with zero to 20ua leakage.
My local electronics shop goes by NTE references. While shopping there, I noticed that many common components have the same reference (e.g. both 1N914 and 1N4148 are NTE 519).
Am I shooting myself in the foot because NTE assimilate otherwise different components or are 1N914 and 1N4148, or 2N5088 and 2N3903 different names for the same chips?
1) 1/8 and 1/4 watt Carbon Comp and Carbon Film resistors in a wide array of values 1, 5, 10 % 27 ohm - 62k , 1M and 2.2M
2) pnp Military gold lead Medium to high gain Ge Transistors form Texas Instruments 2n404a's .. Sound better than any European you have ever heard!
3 npn germanium 2n167A General Electric from the 1960's these are the best transistors you will ever here period. Nothing sounds as good.. to those in the know they are...
Hey, man. :) This is my first post to this forum. Howdy....
Can I get any input on what *the best* LDR is for the Mutron III / Neuton circuit? DIY is fine.
I used H11F3 opto-FET isolator for ease of implementation but, even after several hours of fiddling with the current scaling resistor, it only sounds so-so. I think the slope of their response curve of is too steep for this circuit.
Hello. I'm looking for xicon's 42tm117-r. Please tell me where they are sold. If you have an extra one, I'd like you to give it to me.
If you know a compatible product for this transformer, please let me know. I want to create malekko wolftone chaos.
Had a old hakko for 20 years and loved it. A 936. Then i got a ***D which i still have and hate more then i did when it was new. I see there are clones and all out there now and i recall looking for a new 936 before i got the 888 and i recall the Aoyue brand getting a lot of good reviews as a 936 clone. But that was a while ago and there are a lot more junk clones and no name brands out there. So are there any good cheap stations being made now that have a knob for temp, heat up real quick and...
EDIT: I found that I did already have a cable but I'd still like to know if the connector is something I can buy so I can make a 2nd cable.

I'm looking for recommendations for quality SPDT toggle switches. I have a few Taiway on hand... opinions?
Also wondering about opinions on good quality 4PDT stomp switches, preferably with a soft click but not totally necessary.
Thanks
Hi guys. I am trying to replace an Alpha 9mm D-shaft PCB mount C500k pot on a pedal, anyone knows where can I order one? I have been googling for two days with no luck :(
Q, Does anyone know if these 5 way switches are still available, or still exist? I've searched the www but nothing even close to this design. There is no markings on it that I can see so hopefully someone might know about it's origin.
The switch in picture has a very firm/stiff feel and very hard to accidentally flick to another position.
The common units are mainly CRL and Oak Grigsby but they tend to have a much softer feel, some are even sloppy.
I'd like to find another for my spare...
A guy who runs a component shop in Devon, UK, was selling bags of 400 NOS germaniums,.. some sold for over £600.
If you bought these, or know who bought these, PLEASE check them with a professional transistor tester that can detect internal shorts and bi-polar leakage (not a cheap tester off eBay), as one buyer has reported 41% were duds.
Anyone who did buy these can still talk to ebay (who are currently investigating) via the chat at...
Hello, how are you? I'm looking to buy a Multi-function Tester - TC1 it looks very good, I want to know about germanium transistor leakage, is its accuracy good in this regard?
Note: I don't have the money to buy peak atlas.
I appreciate if anyone has bought it and leave your experience.
🤜🤛
