Intersil no longer makes the CA3080… as everyone knows. But according to a tech at that company, Rochester Electronics in Newburyport MA has bought the remaining wafers and dies for the 3080 series and will make the parts until they run out of supplies. They currently have a bunch of the CA3080AE 8 pin DIP packages in stock. Other model numbers require a special order (they may or may not have metal cans… there is some confusion at the company as to what model number stands for...

I have a Colorsound ToneBender, it's one of the reissues but around 10 years old now. The pots are really playing up - And I think its time to replace them. Does anyone know where I can buy new pots for these pedals that would be the right size (so they wouldn't be too long on the face of the pedal either)? If anyone knows anywhere in the UK I could get these from that would be a great help.

I've been using the pre-bonded stuff that small bear sells and its GREAT stuff, but i'm wondering where ELSE can you get that stuff? Maybe I just dont know how to find it but it seems crazy that mouser/allied/digikey and the like dont stock something similar. I know Steve isnt manufacturing the stuff himself so it has to come from somewhere. Anyone have any leads on this kind of wire?

after seeing a couple of builds with ribbon cable for the pots, and sometimes the switch as well, i was thinking they look pretty neat. Any of you know a good (read: cheap) supplier that has them in a decent thickness (like regular stompbox wire) in lower quantities?
btw: that's how they look, can be multicolored, though i prefer unicolor. I would like at least 3-connector-ones or multiples of that (6,9,12 ...). If you only find in between numbers, please do post anyway.

I've got an old Maxon ST9 that has some scratchy pots. In case some Deoxit doesn't work out, I'm going to need to find some of these. Anyone have any ideas? All I see on the Alpha site is straight PC mount 12mms, which works for the dual gang but not the singles.
