Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

Smallbear always seems to be out of stock on the 100k 16mm linear dual pots, which is what I need. I've looked everywhere to no avail for that value, mouser, mammoth electronics, digikey....anybody know of a good source for these? I can't use the 24mm because I want to fit things easily in a 1290B. I have found some on Tayda, but the two week possible wait time is a little daunting.
Are there any mini female spade terminal conenctors that would fit onto the lugs of the plastic Boss style 2.1mm DC Jack? Since they are tightened down from the inside with a nut they are hard to remove and to solder wires to them anyway. I thought if my wires had quick disconnect terminal conenctors it would be easier to deal with. Just have to figure out the smallest size that would fit.
I pulled a Fernandes sustainer out of a project guitar ... i don't know if it works (looks intact) but its up for a trade if anyone is interested. Honestly, I'm just starting out on the diy effect scene so I'm just looking for parts / tools / misc stuff ... not looking to get anything crazy out of the deal. It comes with pots / 5way / and two pickups. So just throw out some ideas. Thanks guys
A couple of people have indicated they might like more than one piece but I'd like to see 10 individuals before committing to the order. The price is $35 plus shipping to your location. These IC's are being sold to me a NOS Panasonic MN3005's that are tested and meet factory guidelines. I would prefer there to be a tested and verified layout prior to placing the...
I have just dismantled a bass combo and a car audio amp. I have categorised most parts, but before I begin on the next harvest, which parts are worth the effort? Also, which can be damaged by desoldering the easiest?
I'm planning to build a HV (300V B+) overdrive pedal using 12ax7 tubes. However I'm not sure what the best way to proceed with the HV power supply (12V for the heaters can be easily derived). My options are:
1. Find a suitable transformer (as would be done in an amplifier) that provides galvanic isolation and a secondary voltage of around 240V, then rectify and smooth with capacitors (and resistors for providing lower voltages).
2. Use a low voltage AC power supply (something between 12...
Bought an EHX #1 Echo not too long ago. It didn't come with an adapter, and when I opened it up, I found the battery clip and wiring MIA. It has a standard 4-pin clip on the board to accept the clip on the battery wiring. The seller insisted that it didn't run on batteries and sent me an AC adapter, but I'd still like to get the battery clip if I could.
I suppose I could try to make one or just take a standard battery clip and solder it onto the connector on the board, but I...
Hi
I have some NPN and PNP's for sale-make your own pushpull fuzz-or negative grnd fuzz with the NPN's
The AC142's make great PNP fuzz, trewble boost ets circuits
Fairly decent Gains-from 68-85, and leakages from 170-320uV
3.99 matched (as much as I can) pair, or 1.99 each
Hi all, first post from me but I've been regularly lurking since picking up a soldering iron about 9 months ago - thanks for all your help! :)
I'm sure I'm not alone in having more populated boards than I can afford boxes for, so I thought I'd share my find - circular tins of sweets 79p at Aldi, about 4 diameter and 1.5 deep. You're not going to get a Klon in there or anything, but most small projects will be fine - I've managed a tubescreamer and a fuzz factory, and it's deep enough to mount...
I have a number of diecast boxes I no longer need. Size 275x175x65mm. Some marked with old RS part number 479-8903 which you can see on the RS site here:
Ideal for heavy duty projects or anything that needs screening well.
Hi, I am looking for a dual gang replacement pot for a Coloursound wah/fuzz/swell. The blue version with the Tonebender/Muff fuzz circuit. Anyone know where I can track one of these down?
due to my work I moved to China for a few years. as I want continue with my hobby here I was wondering if anyone knows an online supplier of components that supplies small amounts of parts.
I'm looking to make my first PCB. I've seen that people use the paper made by Techniks. Are there any other brands that work, that I may find locally? - I'm in San Francisco, without having to order from Techniks directly.
I am presented with a challenge from a friend to build an completely analog multi-effect. So far the design will require to have 7 foot switches, all in one line, on the bottom of the pedal. I have spent a good portion of the weekend on google, but still can't find any enclosure that would satisfy 1.75 -2 height, 6 depth and, say, 20 wide. Does something like this exist at all? Or is custom the only way to go?
Please let me know, good people.
Thanks so much!
I'm slowing down my analog delay operations, and i have a moderate lot of V3205 BBDs. I'm really after SAD1024's and MN3005's as trades (my repair lot is getting extremely low on these). Otherwise I can offer 100pcs, fully tested, for $200.
the topic says it all really - looking to get a PCB etched for the mobius trip looper as I don't have anywhere suitable for etching (my workbench is in my lounge, and I don't think I can get away with etching in there - the missus would kill me :D ) nor the skillz
would anyone be interested in etching a board for suitable compensation?
I am looking for a 9-10mm, right-angle PCB mounted potentiometer that has a plastic shaft with a white marking on top. I've seen these used before, but I have yet to find a source for them. Below is a picture of the MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe overdrive, which uses 4 of these potentiometers.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
