these are very similar to 12AU7, and are the prime choice for tube-town.de low voltage tube projects (pepper shredder, vanilla overdrive, banana booster). I've tried them in tube drivers too and sound very good
-----2 NOS tubes JAN/Philips 5751
similar to 12AX7 type, but slightly less gain and more balanced. very good in high gain circuits.

Anyone know of a source where I can buy roller knobs relatively cheap? (like those found on a Fender Jaguar/Jazzmaster) I'm not necessarily looking for a replacement for a Fender just a similar style knob.

I recently ordered some stuff and based on some miscommunication had ended up getting a few 'wrong' parts. It was debatable at best whos fault that was (50% me 50% them), but the important thing is they didn't just blow me off, in fact they went out of their way to make things better than right and I just wanted to give them the positive feedback they deserve.
I'm gathering parts for the Flatline Compressor. I went to the Mouser website and did a search for LDR but didn't turn up anything. Is there a better reference or part number for me to search for? Does anyone have a recommended part number for this LDR?

Vero and perf has proven a nightmare for me. Turret (or even eyelet) board looks a lot more user friendly for small circuits. It looks a lot less 'fiddly.'

I was given a bag of half a dozen of each - metal can sn7274 and normal LM741/UA741.. any reason to or not to use the opamp 741's and what are the sn7274, and can I use them anywhere?
Does anyone sell a BMP board with room for 1W CC resistors and large (1KV) ceramic caps? I have the BYOC and I've seen others that are really expecting you to use 1/8W resistors and film caps...you can't cram in larger components.
fwiw, I've got a Green Russian, and I've found that modding it is a disaster, as the traces pull up too easily. Double sided w/plated through holes would be perfect...vero otherwise, I guess.

I have been looking now for years for the LED lamps that PC uses on his large multiFX boards. I cannot find them anywhere!!!

And I have a picture of them in a parts pile on my computer. They are about an inch long or so, the other side of them is white and it has two solder lugs on them. Im guessing they are fairly low voltage, and are daylight visible type.
