Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

i want to buy a breadboard and some parts for a circuit. i tried placing an order through smallbear today, but when i got to where i was supposed to pay for it with paypal it gave me an error saying i have to ship to or from some location. Has this happened to anyone else? is there anywhere else to order parts online?
Hi guys! One close relative will be in town for a few days, so I'll give him a little shop list.
I got not enough time (little job troubles  ) for a well done search...any help?
Is there anything that is similar to the typical pilot light used in amplifiers, but in a much smaller package, and using an LED? Something like in the following picture, but smaller. I really like the look, and think it would look nice used in a pedal, but maybe in a smaller package. The larger size might look good too. Is the light built into them, or is it just the colored cover and bezel, so any light could be used? Anybody got a source for things like this?
So this is my first post here, but I've been doing a lot of research gearing up to start building pedals. I am familiar components in general because I studied them in college; however, I've never purchased them and do not know what the accepted quality components are. Are the futurlec value packs the best way to start accumulating parts? Are these parts good enough quality? What starter packs do you recommend for resistors and caps? Thanks for the help!
I just ran into a case (30 units) of 15W switching adapters.
Specs:
100-240VAC input
12VDC@1.25A output
4.5ft. cord
2.5mm x 5.5mm, center POSITIVE barrel connector on the output
Input connectors are the interchangeable type. It comes with the North American type installed and UK and European types are included in each individual supply's box.
These are regular IT supplies, but i know they could be useful to someone.
Hey.
I am very new (but very enthusiastic) to modding/creating pedals and am wondering what I should buy. I have very little knowledge and while reading the forums most of the techniques/items mentioned were meaningless to me. So I plead for your help. What should I look for in a soldering iron, solder, flux (I don't really know if I need this), stuff for desoldering, stuff for resoldering, breadboards, and any other necessity which I have neglected.
Thanks for your help, it is very much...
So..its been a while since I've been here, you guys probably don't remember me as I wasn't here for long :P.
Its been a few months since I've dealt with any DIY stompboxes (in school, trying to get into a university to study Electrical Engineering).
Anyway I'm looking to get my first breadboard, as it seems like one of the more useful tools there is for this profession, and I wanted you're opinions on some, I have someone in the states that can get me one from Fry's electronics.
I have a huge bunch of pedal parts..
.39 metal oxides
1000uF 35V electroltyics
heat shrink tubing 1/8
330uF 100uF 220uF electrolytic 25V
5kpF
220pF tantalum I think..
62K 1/4 W
and more..
all really really cheap. like 1/3 normal price
all new. all bought from a guy going out of businesss. so..
I'll make a whole list when I get time but that's generally what's there.
more caps and resistors and some other stuff..
Have been looking all over for a match to this one, a MIT ds-1 tone pot. Mine snapped off and is unturnable. I will be adding some MIJ components but would like this to be fixed as well. I know its a total noob question, but the pot is labeled M20KB. Is that just a 20 k trim? or 1000 20k? I am confused and can't , for the life of me, find a replacement. Thanks
this has prob been asked before but couldnt find anything in the search functon. i ordered caps before from futurlec and they were wima's. but it didn say on the site which series they were. on Banzai they have a tonne of diff wima caps! MKP, MKS etc etc!! what are people using?
also they have MKT caps and they're pretty cheap! is there much diff between those and the wima? much higher quality? or the panasonic SMF?
i want to get good quality caps but dont wanna pay too much! some of the...
I've been ordering op-amps on an as needed basis, but I think I'm going to bite the bullet and just buy a crapload of them all at once. Here's my question: should I get one of those op-amp kits from Small Bear that has several different types, or should I just buy 100 TL072's and call it a day? If the latter, what type should I buy?
I don't really use them that often, but it'd be nice to have some on hand instead of (1) getting gouged at Radio Shack or (2) having to wait on shipping.
I've built a few pedals in my day but I'm still a total noob. I've mostly bought parts from Small Bear - the interface is easy to navigate, I get confused sometimes on Mouser. :slap: I know mouser has a crap load of different manufacturers for said parts: resistors, caps, etc. For you more experienced builders on here, what are some of your favorite part manufacturers for resistors, caps, etc? For example, I'm borrowing a friends Timmy, it has those yellow box caps. They're in the pedal for a...
I have some projects i can't finish so i put them for sale.

Hi all, just wanting some feedback and more info, has anyone used these? any good?
I can't tell the difference between the 120 and 130 from the images and description? I imagine the 140 is a 4pdt and the others are dpdt or is one a dpst?? general help appreciated churs.
Hi all,
I was looking round the other day and remember seeing a post about cheaper alternatives to Hammond enclosures in the UK.
I've tried searching back through the forums but am struggling to find it.
Anyone remember the post and know where I can find it??
I suspect this has been covered before, but I can't find a particular thread that addresses my question. So...
I like the switching method in the new Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe 2...I'd like to build my own (non-vibe) effect using this type of switch rather than the traditions 3DPT stomp switch, but I have no idea where to find it, where to secure the parts for making it, or even what parts to ask for if I DID find a resource for getting the parts.
